That defense was masterclass! The defense came to play. 14 tackles for loss is a season high. 188 total yards allowed is a season low. 7 sacks is a season high. 10 pass breakups is a season high. This defense balled out, and they deserve all the credit for this win.

...and to be in the playoffs, people, I feel, put to much emphasis on margin of victory and not enough on quality of win. FSU has the same strength of schedule, if not more, than any other top 10 team and they didn't lose...at all... 13-0 is better than 12-1 no matter how you try to spin it and making assumptions that one team is better based on their competition, makes those people look like casual fans of college football. Will FSU lose in the playoffs, maybe? Will they get destroyed? maybe, I mean they just beat the #14 team in the nation with their 3rd string QB, that says something. I bet any other team in the top 10 using their 3rd string QB doesn't have the defense to hold up like that. FSU is deserving of a shot and as a fan that's all you can ask for. I ask others, if your team was undefeated would you want a 1 or 2 loss team to jump them and get in the playoffs while you stood by crying? No you wouldn't.

Florida State are ACC champions and they won without their star quarterback Jordan Travis. They won this game for him. Congratulations!!!

This is why we need the 12 team format. Just fast track it for this year. No matter how you slice the top 4, somebody deserving is going to be left out. You can make a case for 6 or 7 teams being in the top 4. And you can make each case pretty convincingly

Husky fan here. The Florida State defense is stout. That’s what allowed them to win this game. By finishing undefeated, they deserve a spot in the CFP, but some of the “experts” think that now they’re down to their 3rd string QB, they’ll have an unfair disadvantage. They proved themselves, just like my Huskies did. The three undefeated teams should have the top 3 spots. Here’s my CFP lineup. (1) Michigan with an impressive shutout win in the B1G Championship Game. (2) Washington for beating Oregon a 2nd time this season and finishing undefeated. (3) Florida State in large part because of their defense and finishing undefeated. (4) Texas lucked out with Alabama defeating Georgia and own the tiebreaker over Alabama by beating them in Tuscaloosa earlier this season. Yes, an SEC has been left out of the CFP, and that’ll upset many. This is the reason why the CFP will be expanded to 12 teams next season. It’s not up to me, but that’s my take on it.

FSU might be starting a backup in the playoffs but that’s committee is nuts if they leave an undefeated team out. How is losing to Oklahoma better than losing to Texas or Alabama? You say Texas deserves to be in over Alabama because they beat them which Texas is a top 6 team, but Texas doesn’t get penalized for losing to a much worse Oklahoma team? It doesn’t make sense to me. How can Alabama get penalized more for having a better loss? Because it’s a head to head? The committee weighs much more than just head to head if that was the case a 2 loss Oklahoma would be in over Texas.

Both teams came to play, both had great defenses, The game could have gone either way and it came down to just a half dozen plays to seal it. FSU is loaded and honesty, I don't know if they are in the position to reload like Bama, Georgia, Mich, and Ohio State do every year. We will see. Coach Norvell is coach of the year.

Defensive tackle really an art when it’s played right, look at 55 at :16 seconds.. so beautiful how he takes on and beats the downblock, follow guard hip pocket on pull and then rewarded by eating up back for TFL 🔥

Defense was amazing, their best game this year by far!!! Fili n that OL making the biggest play of the game was so impressive considering how maligned the OL has been this year at points. There were a lot of late hits after the pass and slides and kids were instinctively aiming down. Some were intentional with the hopes of taking Jordan Travis out of the game(Boston college, Miami, Florida). Jordan Travis has been playing injured half of the season and he put up those record numbers. When Tate slid in the UF game two defenders intent on hurting him gave him a concussion.

Mickey Andrew’s is somewhere smiling, I’ve been waiting on a complete game by the defense and here it is.

I was at the ACC Championship, first row behind FSU's bench. It was a the middle chapter of a storybook tale of grit, determination, and a whole team showing that when you tie both hand behind you back, they were going to find a way to be dominate in other ways. The brotherhood and the grit... manufacturing everything needed to earn a double-digit win. I love it for these men and they should hold their heads high as THE MOST COMPLETE TEAM by far over the 2023 Season! Go Noles!

They took the only one touchdown I seen - no way it’s an incomplete pass, on the ground and 2 hands on the ball (more importantly - why didn’t coach ask for review of that CATCH)!!!. That’s a touchdown, we’re up 13 to 10 with momentum. Who knows how this game could’ve ended. And our defense was just as good - that was an “A” game by Louisville’s defense. 2 - 15 yard penalties aided their first Field goal, and the last was just a give away. Statistically we was just as good - our 6th year QB, played horribly and I seen mutiple plays that should’ve been bigger plays - falling down after being wild open by the fullback, Thrash a crossed the middle with more space to gain falls without contact, Jordan running out of bounds when there’s clearly more space to go up field instead of just stepping out bounds. I give credit to FSU’s defense - what disappoints me is our effort was below what it takes to tough out the biggest game of the year by leaving it on the field for a Championship. Meaning get every yard possible with urgency - I didn’t see this observing every play in the stadium. We needed 60 minutes of leaving it on the field -

Coming back from the game as i write this. Hardest ive screamed. Very fun although a few fights after the game was over. Crowd was loud af and you cant really hear it behind a screen. Amazing time

Both D's played well. Were well coached, but FSU took that pic in the end zone which was the deciding factor. Awesome game!

Being at this game and seeing the amount of FSU fans vs Louisville fans was not even close. Louisville had a chance to win this and gave it away multiple times.

Fsu defense has givin up 1 touchdown in 2 games and that touchdown was actually held to a field goal but ref threw a bad flag and gave Florida a first down…they now have a full month to get Tate and the offense in some kind of rhythm and ready…don’t count the noles out of winning it all their defense is absolutely the best defense that will be in the playoff

They may not even get in man. Also the best defense would be Michigan. Just be the eye test and stats they are head and shoulders the best defense with an actual offense that compliments them. Can’t let your bias get in the way of the facts, FSU simply isn’t good enough to be there in the playoff. They would lose to any of the teams that are being considered unfortunately. Look at the teams they played! You act like they gave up 1 TD to Georgia, Ohio State, Alabama, Michigan, and Washington. The CFP committee just might reward FSU because it's the same committee that put Cincinnati, TCU, and Michigan State in the CFP when they were clearly not in the same stratosphere as real top 4 teams.

FSU went from scoring 40 plus to scoring just over 20 a game. It's a bigger difference unfortunately. Plus Michigan played their biggest rival and looked good doing it without their head coach. No disrespect to FSU. It's just different.

Michigan played two top 10 teams of which both are ranked top 5 in defense. FSU played an awful Louisville team that just lost to a middle-of-the-road one dimensional (run only) Kentucky that had two losses on the season already. Both Penn State and Ohio State had 0 losses at that point and are by far better than Louisville. So please stop this nonsense. FSU is undefeated but definitely not one of the top 4 teams in the nation if we are being honest.

Championship games are not always close…look at Michigan Iowa and Texas Oklahoma state. If fsu was playoff caliber then this game shouldn’t be this close

FSU defense, knowing that FSU was starting a true freshman at the qb position, realized that it was up to them to control the game. Just an amazing performance by Fiske, Verse, and so many others of Fuller's troops! Knocked down passes, an interception in the end zone, 300 pound Fiske chasing down Louisville's qb to seal the game, leaving their veteran quarterback in tears at the end of the game. Congrats to the 13 & 0 Seminoles. Mike and his staff, and Jordan Travis. This win was for you, Jordan!

As a Hurricane fan the so called committee snubbing the Noles from the playoffs is a disgrace they went 13-0 they earned the right to be top 4. What a joke.

Arguing that this team deserves to be in the playoffs is no different than arguing for Liberty to be in the playoffs since they are undefeated this season and conference champs.

Wow, the whole defense did their jobs over & over - the backfield were so effective in the mid game and then the front 7 powering on late in the game - making it so plain what we at LSU haven’t had for some time.

Michigan Washington FSU Alabama Texas best win is against Bama but Bama best win is against the two time champs. and Bama in Week 2, is not the same Bama. sorry Texas.

True, but they also almost lost against unranked Auburn last week! That they should have blown out!! The Iron Bowl is always a good watch, but Auburn isn't that great this year. So why was Alabama struggling like that? Bulldogs only lost because of the missed field goal, or the game would have gone into OT and possibly the other way. Georgia didn't play Texas. Bama did and lost that head to head by double digits. Georgia lost to Bama by 3 points. Texas lost to Oklahoma by 4 points, so they clearly barely got beat. Loss is still loss regardless, but Bama didn't beat Georgia as bad as Texas Beat them!! Texas has a stronger loss. In my opinion, it should be Texas over Bama. The committee should reward the Long Horns for being the only ones who beat Bama by double digits!! So doesn't that deserve recognition because Georgia couldn't even beat Bama by double digits.

By their own standards, the CFP committee basically has to put FSU in. Keep in mind they will have a month to gate Tate healthy and up to speed, so the offense will be better. (harder to get much worse than tonight but yeah). Though in reality this FSU team as it stands right now would probably lose handily to several teams. Do we really want another Cincinnati or Michigan state situation? If it's the current "Best" 4 teams it almost has to be Texas, Washington, Michigan and Bama, by virtue of head to head against UGA.

Lose handly based off of what. L'ville average almost 40 and scored 6 and the FIRST week of the season we held LSU really to 2 scores and they averaged almost 50 on the year.....

I will say this, since we just saying whatever, No team in the top 10 right now would have won their conference championship game with their 3rd string QB in, sorry just how I feel. That deserves some credit. Let's not act like Michigan played the 85 Bears, they played what? Iowa which has zero offense and are ranked 18th. Texas intentionally ran up the score on Oklahoma St who is ranked where? 19th, 20th? because they knew that might be their only chance to get in is if they blew their opponent out. (Thanks NCAA for making teams show bad sportsmanship)
