The problem with putting my logo in the corner is that its easy to crop out. Which is what is happening now.

Built that kit late last year, not one fit issue at all, didn't use decals they were rubbish found some nice ones online, I highly recommend this kit for its build quality.

It's distracting being so large. One in the corner as you see on TV channel screens would be much better in my honest opinion. When they started years ago there were complaints but , now it's expected and our minds just blank them out.

You got the right ideal on the watermark but you need to make it smaller and put them in the 4 corners of your screen with some colors on at least two of them...

G'day Brett, You're right, some components of this kit are pretty basic; especially the engine exhaust assemblies. I'm ex-RAAF so I had the opportunity to see our F-111s up close. We had waited for these aircraft for so long the pilots and ground crews really got to like the Phantoms we leased as a stop gap. Once we all became used to the F-111s it was clear they truly were an amazing weapons system. I built this kit some time ago and had to get aftermarket engine parts and do some extra panel scribing to increase the accuracy of the model. I used liquid masking on the canopy and it really wasn't much of a chore. Yes, there was a decent deal of putty and 'sprue goo' used and some of the joining tabs etc. needed more than average clean up. That all said, the result was an impressive model that really resembled the appearance of the original airframe and the panel lines, plus the ones I added were well suited to the scale. Would I do this kit again...? Yes, it is worth it. The small detail of over 80% of the kit is, frankly, excellent. I don't know if Academy does a 1/32 version of the F-111 but I'd certainly like to have a crack at that one. Cheers, Brett, all the best and thanks for the video. Bill H.

Hi Bill, thanks for all of the extra info on the kit, I'm really looking forward to building this one up, and like I mentioned, I do have a fair amount of aftermarket stuff that will hopefully address the issues with the kit. Its very helpful to hear from someone with both first hand knowledge of the subject matter as well as the kit, I'd love any other little bits of info you may have on both. Cheers! Brett

Sorry to hear some low-life is stealing your work, Brett. The watermark could be a little smaller, maybe even in a corner, like TV station’s ID(?). Thanks for all the hard work you put into making your models on video. I couldn’t do it, so I appreciate it greatly.

You can maybe put your logo on the background? Like a sticker on a cutting mat or something like that, won't obscure the model, but it's clearly visible.

I see why you did it, but yes, smaller, or potentially setting up a header bar with watermark in it (so it blends in better with actual content).

I have a guy selling it in my local area. I am relatively new to scale modeling (built 15 kits) I’m looking for something that doesn’t require too much effort and hope to buy more than one of them, I don’t have an airbrush yet, Is this a good kit for me? Or should I got for something else (anything you recommend)

Its a rather straight forward kit and I didn't identify any areas that would give much trouble, I think its something you could handle, just be aware its a rather large aircraft and can be somewhat cumbersome to wield around the workbench.

Hi Brett, shame about the tictoc thievery! Unfortunately the watermark (or something like it) is almost a necessity to protect your videos. Looking forward to the Pig build. For whatever flaws the Academy kit may have it is certainly miles better than the Kitech one I have - it's a dog!

The watermark is quite distracting, easy win is print the logo out on the blue cloth in the background having it over the sprues is quite hard to watch personally. but if it was behind them it would I think acheive the same effect without being anywhere near as distracting. Obviously decals is different but the sprues for sure

It's a shame that your work has been hijacked by someone who seems it's okay to use your work. The watermark is okay, but as what has been said already smaller may be better. As far as the F-111C kit goes, I built the original run in the mid 90's and had purchased the F-111A, FB-111A, F-111F and the F-111E. Look at your review the updates for the chaff and flare dispensers and the updated weapons set is a plus. I may have to see if I can purchase one if it is still available. The E kit at the time had a weapons tree of the times. The other kits back then had just the fuel tanks. The FB-111A kit had the wrong set of weapons pylons and the wrong fuel dump mast to name a few. The F model kit I built with the Verlinden F-111F update resin set. I cut out the flaps and slats and scratch built those. Great review keep them coming.

Yeah, I'm currently playing around with some other ideas as well that will hopefully be less intrusive than the watermark over the entire video. Thanks for the additional info about the kit, based on what you and others have said, with a little work it should build up into a very nice replica of the real thing, thanks for the feedback and taking the time to comment about the kit! @HammerheadModelMaking there's a bunch of kids out there stealing footage while recording themselves in front of a Greenscreen and make themselves small so most people wouldn't notice its stolen content. Sorry if this was hard to understand, you make some awesome models by the way!

I think the logo as it is is too distracting and for me it spoiled the enjoyment of the video. I guess it's a fine line between protecting your videos from theft and discouraging existing viewers from coming back and watching more. I viewed this video all the way through (because I already know I really like your content) but actually I listened more than I watched.
