Hey man I’m thinking about picking one of these up in a combo. How was the rod that came with the spinning reel, was there a reason you weren’t using it anymore other than personal preference?

A lot of the abu Garcia reels have interchangeable parts. So if you want a lower gear ratio, you can use a pinion and main gear from a different reel or you can order it. Try it!

I recently got into fishing more and not a Zata spin combo. How do you choose a good line and what are your recommendations?

What is the spec of the rod that you use for Zata bc reel…anyway nice video👍🏻

How light of line could the bait caster reel take and still preform well? Would I be able to put 6 lb test?

I just ordered one of these combos off their website for $149. I wanted a second baitcaster so I can have one dedicated to braid and one with flouro. I usually go with Lews, but figured I’d try something different this time and wanted to stay in the $150 ish range.

Great review. Have you tried the Abu Garcia Vendetta Casting rod? If so, what are your thoughts?

I haven’t tried the new ones, but I used to rock a bunch of vendettas back in my day. They used to be solid rods

I just got 2 of the zata BC combos for 160$ at gander mtal and the spinning reel for 80$.; The baitcasters are for sale both of em im keeping the spin reel i put it on a 7ft ML Fenwick HMX I LOVE IT.

I have both of those combos and I love them

I prefer fluorocarbon and my favorite all around size is 15lb test

170 bucks for graphite? Does Abu even pay attention to the competition? lol I love my Revo s and Revo Premier but dang I wanted this reel until I seen the graphite frame.

I’m using Temple Fork Outfitter rods - the Tactical and Tactical Elite rods
