My only problem with abu is every one of their baitcaster is such good quality that I never find myself needing or wanting to replace or upgrade the ones I have 😂 I have the max pro and the stx.... don't think I'll ever need another abu 😂

Great testing review of the Abu reels! Nice spot too! I kayak fish as well, and I used to invest my fishing funds into Abu combos, but lately I've been finding that Lew's got some W reels! I also gauge reels on ease of maintenance and again, Lew's for the dub lol. I take 'em apart and oil the bearings and threads 2-3 times a year and especially when I use them a lot.

Looking to buy my first baitcaster, this is currently on sale for $100 less than it usually is here in Canada. Been debating alot on what to get. (Shimano SLX , Diawa Tatula CT, Lew's Mach Smash, and Abu Garcia Max Pro ) But I might just bite the bullet and get this as it's usually 329 in Canada but is on sale for 229 currently.

I'll take the ABU Garcia Max all of them got 6 different ones and like all of them. But I'll take a spinning reel over a baitcaster but there good for different things. But I'm a spinning reel guy. Just got the ABU Garcia STX medium heavy rod spinning reel for the heavy grass punching.
