At almost 70, I have deeply yearned for a horse for all these years. I never had the opportunity or money to see it through. I rode a bit as a kid but not much these last few decades. Your channel has gotten me closest to the real thing! Thank you from the depth of my horse loving soul!🥰🥰🥰

Donna, Don’t give up! I’ve loved horses my entire life (72). My husband died and in my grief I bought 2 ponies. I just wanted horses to love on, curry, feed,etc. It’s not cheap (hay, feed, trailer, tack, vet, etc), but bring me much happiness. My ponies cost $500 each and are related. I did a search and found them locally. Good luck!

Many years before I was able to afford a horse of my own I volunteered at a rescue and that was the absolute best way to spend time with them and get my fix 😊

@@sidilicious11 I read about the Rainbow Bridge. It’s a story about what happens when your pet dies. Your sadness turns to joy. If you type ‘Rainbow Bridge ‘ into Safari/Google etc you can read the poem. I think it came, originally from Viking mythology but I’m not exactly sure. I read it once in a while and I will have my 2 wonderful wee Toy Poodles waiting for me. They know you’re coming😍.

Ezzy has her mummy to lean against after a good play in the playground but Ariel has no loving mummy. My heart goes out to her as she stands back and watches the mummy/daughter bond going on……. BUT…….. Ezzy has your shoulder to rest on’ your cheek to nuzzle and your embrace to cuddle and comfort her. Ezzy is MEGA lucky and you are too. You said that your horses are such a huge part of your life and it shows. So, you are Ezzy’s mummy, and it also shows. Ezzy can come to you for a cuddle and a kiss 💋 at the end of a wonderful play time in the snow. Lovely. I remember fantastic snow play days when my children, dogs and grandchildren were younger, fab, Snow is FUN . I just admire it from my window these days, had one broken leg in slippery stuff, don’t want another. Be happy and continue to love your horses, piggy , hubby and doggy❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️. Loves = Contentment.

The ride on Jiminey in the snowy trail area was very peaceful. One of the best things about cold winter weather: NO BUGS, NO FLIES, NO MOSQUITOES!!! 😃

I love that you let your horses be horses! ❤❤❤ They get to play, be a herd, even rough-house with each other rather than being bubble wrapped and pampered in a wooden box like so many horses are confined in. What a happy horse heaven you’ve created!❤❤❤

Yes, you are so lucky that you have been able to live your dream. I am 70 years young and have loved horses my entire life, just have never had the opportunity to own or live my dream of being a horse owner. What a beautiful horse ..

My favorite memories are when i was 13-17 and I would take my gelding Comet out for a bareback and halter ride in the snow, thn spend hours with him, nothing closer to God than just me and him . I love All your horses, your love and committment to them Shae and Kyle. Thank you so much 🥰🥰🥰

Jiminy is so incredibly gorgeous. We used to raise Appaloosas and he is everything we need for. It's so wonderful seeing him up close and personal. Thanks for sharing him with us today. Great video.

I also bred a few Appaloosas and really like Jiminy. Never was a leopard fan but I never saw one like him. He changed my mind. Loved the way he plowed through the limbs reminded me of my old horse Cody.

I never admired the photos of Appaloosas that I saw, but the red mane against the B/W is spectacular. Until watching your videos, I had no idea of the variety currently available. It’s not my breed, but Jiminy Cricket is really a cool horse. May you both live long and prosper!

I had a horse growing up, but as an adult, I've developed a chronic pain condition and as a result will never be able to ride again. I just wanted to say thank you for recording your ride this way and allowing me to relive what it's like to be on the back of a horse. It's something that, to me, is very special.

I'm a horse owner living in the Upstate of South Carolina. Unfortunately, we don't get much snow, but love it when we do! The horses love to run and play in it and make their own snow angels. I, too, love riding in the snow. Everything you said about the peacefulness and quiet on a snowy trail ride is true! Love it!! Thanks for this wonderful, joyful video, Shae. It was especially enjoyable.❤

The elegant way Ezzie carrys herself is typical saddlebred. Raised and showed many of them. Ariel looks so like a quarter horse. Choppy trot and can turn on a dime..Too precious.

What a wonderful morning in the snow with these happy horses. That trail ride with Jiminey was a glorious vicarious ride for me. I could feel the cool wind, loved the snow crunch of hooves, the slight creaking of a saddle, the smooth canter in the open field near the church, some snapping branches as you pushed through those snow laden small pine trees! Like I said, GLORIOUS! The frisky, beautiful fillies and Mama Belle expressing some joy and happiness moving around and being affectionate with Mama Shae! What a great sunny Day in horse land at Free Spirit Equestrian Farm. Thx for the vlog this Sunday morning! ❤️❄️☃️🐴🐎❤️

The horses are probably happy that it’s finally frozen enough so there isn’t much yucky muck. I don’t see how they can even walk in it when it’s wet. Jiminy is a great looking horse, got to love an Appaloosa they are beautiful.

I have to add two more thoughts that impressed me. First one is I noticed not only how proud and confident, 7 month old Ezzy is, but with her Saddlbred genes, along with the majestic Clydesdale genes, Esmeralda has beautiful, high-stepping form! Simply gorgeous measured “prancing”. She is a happy, proud, free spirit full of love and joy. All she has ever known in her young life!!! She is perfection bc of her magnificent environment and Mama Shae! Second, how wonderful it was to see the nuzzling, connection, affection the two Gypsy Vanners expressed at the end of the vlog!! Such a precious moment. Lumiere is going to integrate well. Best buddy, Mushu, is going to help with Lumi’s transition as a herd horse! ❤️🐴❤️🐎❤️

@@samanthabrooke5266 That is a natural expression. Mama horse with her healthy, naturally perfect baby filly. No one should or could deny Beautiful Belle’s influence over her daughter. What is spectacular, is both mother and daughter can be so perfectly expressing their joy and free spirit. Shae’s understanding, instincts, appreciation about this pair has to do with the loving, healthy, nurturing environment she and Kyle provided for them as Belle completed a successful healthy pregnancy and birth; and baby filly’s firsts in an equine life have been fostered by a loving, respectful, knowledgeable human carers. Thus, we can see how wonderful this relationship of mother and foal, with human interaction and nurturing has created a beautiful, free, joyful, potential to being a horse and horse lover!! ❤️🐎❤️🐴❤️

Riding across a snow fallen field was the best ride I ever did!

That was quite enjoyable. A woman I went to school with used to post photos of the meals she would make for her family. Someone asked her why, and she said it was because some people didn't have home cooked meals, so she was trying to share as best she could. Well, it's been 2 decades since I had horses, so I haven't ridden in a long time, much less in the snow. That little snowy trail ride plus the horses frolicking in the snow, that was a home cooked meal to me. Plus Ezzy prancing (she might make a beautiful dressage horse), and Mushu being the little goofball that he - was the desert. 🥰

What a gift to be able to watch the horses run roll and play in the snow. Such magnificent animals and clearly joyful. Thank you.
