This scene humanized Birdie, you understood why he became who he was. His brother left the family hanging and he did what he felt he had to do. He became a monster in the process. He even was willing to forgive his brother for abandoning them and he judged him. Tupac's performance was brilliant how his emotions ranged, you really felt like he was the little brother that hadn't seen him in a long time that walked that path. Underatted scene, may be the best in the film.

Exactly. In this scene it show show Birdie wasnt all bad. His brother was the bad one for leaving them. He had to do what he had to do, simple as that.

It's crazy that you say that about Tupac because my older cousins taught me about the drug game in Jersey I'm from Baltimore Maryland and my uncle's from Baltimore and my older cousins taught me about the drug game as well in Baltimore but my cousins from Jersey told me about the drug game in Jersey and my father died when I was around six and a half 7 years old they took over helping me better when I got older we separated me and my cousins my older cousins in Jersey and I learned a lot from a lot of different males in Jersey and I had a lot of good ogs in my life and they handed me all books told me to study about the law about the stuff I'm into that's illegal. And the thing is is that when me and my cousins got back together and I'm older and my thirties I said to say anything to him like pac said to him to his older brother I'm not the same younger cousin that you knew that was falling behind y'all! I learned a lot since y'all taught me a lot of stuff! And on he and his brothers had to say was damn okay. But pac performance was great to me.💪🏾✊🏾

I respect pacs mentality. He suffered ridicule and poverty while yearning for his brother to save him. Once he realized his brother was gone he stepped up and did what he had to do. As a result his mother didn't have to worry financially and pac moved up the ladder. Depending on people leads to resentment and disappointment.

Speaking of Will Smith it would have been interesting had 2Pac lived and done the Pursuit of Happyness role instead of Will Smith. Will did a great job in it but given the level of emotion 2Pac brings to his acting it would have been interesting had he taken that role as it fits almost exactly with his real life growing up in New York, Baltimore, and Oakland being homeless for certain periods of time while his mother struggled with drug addiction. He would have made an interesting Chris Gardener. =)

You know when I was a kid and I seen this movie, I always had a different point of view from the adults on birdie. They thought he was just a bad guy, when really he was emotionally damaged. Everyone he ever loved abandoned him including his brother, who not only did he love, but he worshiped him. The reason why he always bullied and picked on boogaloo, is because the honest to God truth is, boogaloo In all likelihood was him before he probably lost his innocence. It hurt him to see kyle, Because kyle was everything he wanted to be; but never could become. Not to mention his brother who he worshiped, scene more himself in kyle then him: Which hurt him even more.
