The truth is kinda in between. On one hand, the true shape is closer to a dodecahedron than just a flat plane. But, if you think about it, there is not reason at all to believe it would be a dodecahedron and not a sphere. Whereas being flat makes sense, it's a simple yet "complete" shape. If it were two-dimensional (almost), it would be a flat disc (as flat earthers propose), but if it was three-dimensional, it would almost certainly not be a dodecahedron.
