This is the best feature showdown I've seen on Push 2 and I've seen many in the last few days. Wonderful work, thank you!
One of the best demos of Push 2. No b.s. or babble. And some great music to boot. I've never been a huge fan of Ableton (I'm a 10-year Maschine user) but the Push 2 really does bring out a lot of great functionality with Ableton 10. I should revisit Ableton if I can ever afford a Push 2... haha. ;) Thanks for the great vid!
Got to be the most comprehensive, concise and informative Push 2 review! Thank you so much. I've made my decision, going go in for the purchase at some point in the new year
Hi Alex. Thanks so much for the overview. You touched on all the features of Push 2 that I have been interested in learning/using. I have little patience for excess verbiage and you described everything in a very clear, concise and fun way so I could not be happier with your review. You have a new subscriber. Thanks again. I know the time, effort and talent that goes into making this kind of video and it's all very much appreciated.
Best demo I've seen so far. Thank you.
This is what i was looking for in terms of understanding what is what. So big thank you for this video.
I have had my Push2 for about a year now. It is a complex machine for someone who only knows stringed instruments, but I have had a lot of fun on it and made some new songs and sounds I never could have come up with before. Your video was great to find as it clued me in to the functionality of some of the side buttons I've yet to press. Good review, thanks.

Tigaj but for someone who knows stringed instruments YOU can make such GREAT music with the Push 2. If you don’t know her, I recommend looking up Bad Snacks. She proves my point as she does just that. Good luck and hope you’re staying dedicated to your music!
Brilliantly clear intro demo. I have had Push 2 for over a year and use it basically for composition. Now I am inspired to learn how to use its fantastic features properly. Recommendation : get one!
I'll get this on christmas and i'm sooooooooo hyped!!
I'm definitely getting Push 2 after watching this demo.
First time I have felt like buying 2. And I have watched numerous vids. Ty.
It was a PERFECT demonstration really, thank you! I will subscribe
Thanks for expounding on the formants. I wasn't totally getting why they should be so important...but that made it VERY clear!
just bought it with abelton studio and its awesome, my work flow is so much faster and i spend less time staring at the screen....brilliant 10/10
Answered a lot of my questions - very good intro - thanks for posting!
This is the best review I have seen. Really complete, fun and to the point. Thanks

it looks like you are recording from the Guitar Center in Denver... I think you sold me my Push 1. still using it now and the combo of ableton/push is brilliant.
His patience to explain every reason get this machine, made me buy it...now I’m like a kid with a new toy. 🤪🤪🎹🎧🎶👌👍🏼
Fantastic review! By the way, what packs are you using throughout the demo? I really dig the sounds and I was wondering if they're default Ableton packs or 3rd party?
Awesome video! Thank you!
Amazing video! Thank you for this great video.
Very descriptive video..makes me want to own one very soon
I’m curious if adjusting midi velocity is as smooth as the rest of the controls. I’m definitely getting this. 👍👍👍
Great demo! Just ordered mine 😁
I'd buy for looks alone. Such a beautiful piece of hardware.
Hey that was a nice video, thanks for the insights. God bless you and the team 🙂🙏🏼❤️

This was definitely one of the best simplified and straight to the point tutorials of how much power this machine has. After getting mine not even a month ago I have been Geeking Out on tutorials every night before going to bed but this is by far one that I wish I saw first. Cheers! 🙏🔥

I can't wait for mine
I can't wait for the next iterations of Push in coming years! (First release typically has some bugs)
Adding this to my ableton Playlist. I don't even own this and it was helpful. Think I'll buy it. Been playing with DAW lately and less playing instruments. Gonna be a rough learning curve becoming an audio engineer in conjuction with being a musician.
My maschine studio crapped out and the ableton push has had my mouth watering for awhile now. Maschine great and in fact probably the best sampler you can get but its not a DAW. Ive always loved the power and simplicity of ableton. Definitely my next item.
Top notch demonstration... I'm fucking drooling 😛🙀
Love you're shop one of the best music shops in Britain
I know I'm being super picky but one of the things I dislike about the Push is that the knobs are above the screen. So when you're twisting the knobs your arm covers the screen so you can't see the changes you're making in real time. It would've made more sense to put the screen above the knobs so that you can see the changes in the parameters as you are twisting the knobs.

Not really. You have to contort your arm to get it out of the way of the screen. Not a great feature for live performances.

Honestly, even tho I got the push 2, it`s not made for live performances. Especially, cuz you don`t improvise 100 % of your live performances. You prepare them. In that means, you can simple map your functions on a 25 dollar midi controller with faders, knobs and pads. And for 40 bugs, you even get velocity sensitive pads. It`s a great piece in my studio, but deffenetly not made for live. You should get a launchpad pro, if you`re up 4 live, combined with a decent midi keyboard, including pads, faders and knobs. Map your projects on to your smaller controllers. Even effect automations, or trigger effects, insync, or autodidact. Otherwise get a mixer, cuz you simply don`t live stretch, resample or even create drumkits " on the go ". If so, the mixer / turntable is the nu,ber 1 way 2 go.

I looked at the LaunchPad Pro. I wasn't really impressed with the quality or functionality. The biggest let down for me on the Push has been the fact that what I do on the hardware doesn't show real time changes on the screen (software.) For example, when I'm browsing through sounds on Push, the screen on my monitor does not change. There's no way for me to see changes on my computer monitor as I'm scrolling through the sounds. Maybe I'm not doing something right or maybe I'm asking for too much. In any case, so far I haven't been super enthusiastic about the Push as I thought I would be. It's looking like I might end up returning it. But I'm going to give it a few weeks and see if I can overcome the learning curve.

You what, how? The hand does cover a large part of the screen, just not the part you're talking about... arms being anchored to our shoulders, so already coming in slightly angled, and the instinctive way to pinch a small object is with the hand at a further angle... like how you hold a pen. The reason we hold pens like that, twist knobs like that, is because the alternative is a weird stress position that will probably cause a cramp, fuck up your hand in the long run, and not allow you to see what the fuck you are doing.

Push IS NOT MADE for live perfs, the think behind push is to get better and faster workflow. WORKFLOW means 'during composition', during the writing process, NOT during live performance. For that there is the APC40MKII from AKAI, unbeatable on live perfs with ableton.
Brilliant video
I really like that track you were playing! Does it have a melody and lyrics? If not, I'd definitely like a shot at it.
This is making me want to switch over to Ableton.

The workflow is far superior, everything comes much more naturally (automation, sampling, midi, effects chains). It’s way more powerful and probably the best designed daw out there. Literally can’t find a better daw
Excellent video
thx. nice demo.
I love mine. Worth every penny!
really good video, gotta get me one of these...

that is nice i have a groove box but this is epic

Great vid! Is there a way to split the pads into two separate keys? Perhaps, left 32 pads in Ab and the the right 32 modulating up a whole step to Bb for example. This would be brilliant. Fingers crossed.
I've been back in music production, I've stopped at Live 9, guess it's time to buy the discount upgrade to live 11 + Push for a fresh start!
Ahhhh I need it!
Great vid
Great video, thanks for sharing. What are your thoughts on how the Akai Force with new Ableton integration stacks up against Push 2? Debating between the two, thanks.
hi thank you for everything you do. I really need your opinion, do maschine and ableton have the same operating mode? is combining maschine mk3 and push 2 as a workflow for musical creation (not for live music but for purely home studio use) possible? do the 2 complement each other in a workflow or is it a bad idea?
awww ... teeempting :D Thank you for a great video . V informative.

Very nice video
hello how to used when plaing multytracks
Good video! I take the comment to ask you a question. Do you know any way to select several drumrack samples at the same time? If I want to move several drumrack samples to another box I have to move them one by one and that is very tedious. I have tried it in various ways and I have not had any luck. Thanks !
Thank you. :)
Fair enough
Thank you for the nice video! I have Push 1. And its a pain to work with Plugin Drum Racks, like Battery. Is it easyier with the Push 2? Thanks!
Fixed length and repeat available on push 1
Can I just sample and pitch shift that sample matched to the pads or an external keyboard?
Do you recommend getting a separate piano style MIDI controller to go along with the Ableton Push controller?
are you from Ireland? Love that accent... really nice video, thank you!
Thank you! :-)
How would one integrated this into a dj setup?
So getting it after this video

Cool! But I'm thinking to look into Akai MPC Live Music Production Workstation. It's loaded with software full of sounds or easily import your own to edit. Plus, you don't have to use a computer. It cost a little bit more. However, it's more than a controller. Bottom line PUSH is a very expensive controller with a sort of steep learning curve.
