    Super handy. Thanks for doing reviews like this! They're much more useful than other reviews that don't cover the important day to day stuff.

    I'm a year late to the (backpack review) party, but just wanted to say thanks for making this video. Really, really helpful look at the two bags and helpful in weighing pros and cons. I'm a guy, but I think I'm going to go with the Thirteen as a lightweight daily carry bag. Your video helped me make the decision! 👍😁 Again, thanks for making the video!

    Hello, now I've already subscribed! Thanks for the review, because I was a long long period of time looking for a backpack without "many" zipper on the front side instead of minimizing the chances for the pocket pickers. I'm mostly walking in dangerous areas and it makes me feel much safer when the front is nearly "closed"! Will do my order a little bit later when I'm back to my home country, flight will be go soonly! Thanks again, take care and stay healthy! 😷

    Thanks for the comparison I’m thinking about getting one of these bags. However it’s hard to decide even after your comparison video which one is best suited for my needs. So instead of going back and forth and wasting valuable time I think it might just be better to get both. That way when you have lots to carry you can use the daypack and on those days and when you want to go a lot lighter the 13L bag will be there waiting for you to use it. I spend far too much time trying to decide what is the better choice, instead of going with the smart choice. Just get both🤷🏻‍♀️

    These are great looking bags. I actually have an Aer, which I got as a hybrid bag for travel, but it has many similar and convenient features to these two. Just to note, when you’re traveling, you want your home keys secured and buried deep. So I love the key loop being inside, and inside a zippered pocket. That’s a deal breaker for me, so 👍. Additionally, the flat side pocket is really good for secure passport and travel wallet storage. Moving forward, any bag approaching 20 litres, should have at least this, or more preferably, a hidden zippered pocket on the back, so that it’s completely inaccessible when you’re in a high crime area, which internationally, is many places. From Mexico City to Barcelona, to asleep on a rural bus surrounded by strangers, you want that secret pocket to be completely inaccessible. Additionally, a hybrid size backpack should have lockable zippers that will accommodate an external cable lock. All of the external zippers, preferably. While we’re on the topic of zippered pockets, they are essential for travel. The top pocket is great, but the internal mesh pockets are key. When you’re moving fast and getting jostled around, you want to know that your little things and papers, maybe your wallet, aren’t slipping out of a sleeved pocket. So another 👍. Moving forward also, bag makers may want to add a d ring clip or 2, preferably inside the zippered pocket. Many travelers are sewing these d-rings inside their backpacks, and attaching a clip to their wallets, so that it can be extra secure. Hybrid backpacks with these kind of features, may have a leg up in the market. Thanks for your very clear and helpful review!

    I absolutely love backpacks!!! I have so many of them and they are all named after girls. They are all so wonderful and a life saver. From just going to the bank all the way up to commuting out of town to backpacking I have it all. Yep they are all named after girls. My packs are my best friends and keep me company whoever I am. Where ever I am I meant. Hahahaha!!!

    I just discovered the Thirteen Daybag, and am wondering if the material is light enough for the bag to fold in half when empty in order to fit into another larger pack??

    Yes, since the back panel is a soft foam you can compress it down quite easily to fit into a larger pack 🙂

    Thanks for the review! I’m thinking about Thirteen. My height is 185 cm. What will this backpack look like on me?

  • @Backpackies

    @Backpackies

    At 185cm the Thirteen may be a bit too small for your frame. It's designed to accommodate short torsos and smaller shoulders. At your height the Daily backpack may be a better match :-)

    Sadly my Daily is not really withstanding rain. It leaks at the seams as soon as more than light drizzle hits it.
