Thank you very much for this information and clarification. Some people exhibit their ignorance of the fact that aiport is a necessity and not a luxury. In the nearest future, business people will like to spend short time navigating through Abakaliki, PH, Owerri, Umuahia, Uyo, Enugu, and Awka. Some people will be served by rail while others are served by air.

Building airport in Abia state is totally wrong venture. All the states that surrounded Abia state has an airport, which most of them is not upto 30 minutes drive. Light rail line would have be best venture, for it lucrative and job creation for the state or other infrastructures that will add more value to the state.

Build something that the general poor masses will massively benefit from.

You want foreign investors to come to abia and you don't want airport to be built in abia so you want them to travel by road from Port-harourt or from enugu etc to abia when other eastern states have airports but you do nott want abia to have one because of your selfish way of thinking? Mr. Travel Consultant, we shall all see an airport in Umuahia will transform the economy of Abia state. Before independence, an airport was built in Enugu. How has that airport transformed the economy of Enugu town and Enugu state? In over 40 years, the aurport in Owerri has failed to change the economic status of Imo state. Sir, you need to get yourself updated on Anambra airport for the reality on that airport in Umueri. A circular train service would have done the entire SE more good than all these useless aerodromes you are all proudly calling international airport's.

If you don’t book ahead of time, get ready to pay premium to enter South East. No matter how expensive a flight ticket is, south East is always a sold out.
