You are very observant about a Hollywood movie influence. The film they emulate is "Saturday Night Fever" (John Travolta, 1977). Xanadu came just a couple of years later (1980) and pretty much added roller skates & special effects :-) As far as the MUSIC is concerned, it's ALL BRILLIANT... Imagine: ABBA. Bee Gees & Olivia Newton-John!!! Wow... Actually they all know each other and they even PERFORMED together in an Australian show (look it up, it's amazing; I think it's Olivia's show)

I can't argue with that verdict Appy. Abba were good enough on their own not to need any accompanying dancers, however athletic they were. And their prescence prevents group close-ups as well. This song is typical of how the girls can sing complex harmonies perfectly to Abba's high tempo keyboard music!

I have to say I prefer the video of the song. The images are much crisper and you get the close ups of their pretty faces.

This was their "sparkling outfit" period Di. They went through spells of outfits, usually lasting up to one year, before moving onto something different.

Of course the two singers were right on the rhythm. The dancers although they tried hard had that Asian problem of feeling western music and transforming it to their rhythm. In short they were out of snyc and looked very sad despite all of their simpleton gyrations. You know what I like Asians even with their coordination problems. I LOVE ABBA GIRLS Agnatha and Anna-Frida. They feel the music and translate it to their movements and vocalizations.

Thank you. It is better, isn't it. You should reread the context of what I was saying. I was referring to those foul-mouths who must use profanity to make their point. Usually, that depicts a lack of education and/or a "ghetto-like" mentality. Lastly, one of today's major problems is people thinking they can tell others what they should or should not, may or may not say.
