These I name here are all great, but they all pale when compared to ABBA, ABBA's beauty, ABBA's talent, ABBA's overall greatness, a greatness proven when they released their newest album, Voyage, in 2021, each and every one of their new songs equal to or better than all their beautiful songs produced when in their prime. These four beautiful people are today, 2021, in their 70's, and, I believe, these folks came up with this new album of great songs because their fans have been forever begging for at least one more ABBA song. Review the history of ABBA, and you must agree ABBA did more for world peace than any one other musician or any other band whoever drew breath to entertain us. ABBA made us and makes us Happy, Yes, it's fair to say I kinda like ABBA.

It's not unknown to me. From 1980 this has been one of my favourites, from Super Trouper and from their entire ouevre.

Haven’t heard that song in more than a decade. Wow!! It still makes my skin get goosebumps. Immortal ABBA talent.

2023 - ABBA FOREVER What a group, brilliant song .....

WOW🥰💞💞 this isthe first time hearing "The Piper" (2021) and I love it!!! Frida's and Angetha's voices are so beautiful together ❤ No one comes close to them🥰⚘⚘

You can make an argument for several bands over which was the greatest of all time. But I'd have to say that when it came to variety in their music, nobody can touch ABBA. They had so many songs covering just about any style of music... rock, pop, disco, jazz, Broadway musical, Latin, Russian, I swear they even had a country song or two. Even here, The Piper, what a great piece of music that almost seems like it came from medieval times.

I guess the folk influence but not specifically Russian. Benny made reference to the 'Melancholy Belt' when ABBA was inducted into Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame.. A sort of sentimental Folk music that is played from Northern Russia, through Finland into Scandinavia. The composition 'Arrival' is an example.

Abba - best pop band ever...

It reminds me some Mike Oldfield compositions. Amazing group with beautiful songes and Angel voices. A recent documentary on french-german TV Arte explained why this group IS still popular After five decades : their music brings happiness to the listeners. So true !

Mike Oldfield is a big ABBA fan. He covered ABBA's 1976 'Arrival'. Mike is a fan of Northern Europe traditional folk music. This is why is us drawn to ABBA.

Actually Mike Oldfield maked a SUPERB cover of ABBAs Arrival i 1984 on his QE2 album, that song is just one of the covers there are as good as the original (in my homble opinion)

I like the Latin phrase "sub luna saltamus" they speak Swedish, sing in English, they throw in a little French, Spanish, and a little old-school Latin here. (It means under the moon we dance).

We actually have, at least recently, although not in the "pop" idiom. (Pat Metheny+Lyle Mays, for instance.)

Both ladies so beatiful and magnificent voices. Love Agnetha and Frida

ABBA are so uplifting :) This is from a guy who likes a lot of types of black metal. ABBA bring you back to happiness when you are on the brink of despair ;) They have their share of mystique in their songs as well :)

ABBA wasn't really a standard pop band. They were too sophisticated. Lots of classical and traditional music, which is what they grew up with in Sweden. They also used unusual chords. On many of their upbeat sounding songs, they used minor chords that really added a "smiling through tears" effect. ABBA was a unique band. They also had a very high level of musicality, musicianship and professionalism.

Great song by a phenomenal Swedish pop group the fabulous ABBA, they owned the 70s music scene

Hmm. Roxette - maybe half as good and only two and no diversity. Europe - give me a brake, I change the radiostation when they are played... Max Martin - interesting but this is calculated production of bubble gum quality (which ABBA left in 75/76).
