മനുഷ്യൻ പാപം ചെയ്തപ്പോൾ അവൻ മരിക്കുകയും പിശാചിൻ്റെ അധികാരത്തിൽ ആകുകയും ചെയ്തു. പാപത്തിൻ്റെ ശമ്പളം മരണമാകയാൽ, അതിൽ നിന്നുള്ള വീണ്ടെടുപ്പ് ജീവൻ കൊടുത്തുകൊണ്ടാകണം എന്നതാണ് ദൈവീക നീതി.ജീവൻ രക്തത്തിൽ ആകയാൽ രക്തം ചൊരിയാതെ പാപമോചനം ഇല്ല എന്ന് ദൈവവചനം വ്യക്തമാക്കുന്നു (ഹെബ്രായർ 9 :22 ) അതിനാൽ പഴയ ഉടമ്പടിയുടെ കീഴിൽ കാളകളുടെയും ആട്ടുകൊറ്റന്മാരുടെയും രക്തം വഴിയുള്ള യാഗം പാപത്തിനു പ്രായശ്ചിത്തമായി ദൈവം നിയമിച്ചു.

ഒരു മനുഷ്യനും വീണ്ടെടുപ്പ് വിലയായ ജീവൻ ദൈവത്തിനു കൊടുക്കുവാൻ കഴിയില്ല, കാരണം എല്ലാവർക്കും ആ ജീവൻ ആദമിൽ നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടു എന്ന് ദൈവവചനം വ്യക്തമാക്കുന്നു എല്ലാവരും ആദമിൽ മരിച്ചു. ( 1 കൊരിന്ത്യർ 15 :22 ). അതിനാൽ മൃഗങ്ങളുടെ രക്തത്തിനോ, വീണു പോയ മാനുഷ്യൻ്റെ രക്തത്തിനോ ( ജീവനോ) മനുഷ്യവർഗ്ഗത്തിൻ്റെ പാപങ്ങളെ നീക്കി അവനെ വീണ്ടെടുക്കാൻ കഴിയാതിരുന്നതിനാൽ ദൈവപുത്രനായ യേശുക്രിസ്തു ആദമിൽ നിന്നല്ലാതെ ദൈവീക ജീവൻ ഉള്ളിൽ ഉള്ളവനായ രണ്ടാം മനുഷ്യനായി ഭൂമിയിൽ കന്യകയിൽ ജനിച്ചു. അവൻ തൻ്റെ ജീവനെ മനുഷ്യവർഗ്ഗത്തിൻ്റെ പാപത്തിനു മറുവിലയായി, പാപപരിഹാര യാഗമായി ക്രൂശിൽ ദൈവത്തിനു അർപ്പിച്ചു, മനുഷ്യവർഗത്തിൻൻ്റെ എന്നേക്കുമുള്ള വീണ്ടെടുപ്പ് സാധിച്ചു.വീണ്ടെടുക്കുന്നത് ദൈവം ആണ് എന്ന് തുടർന്നുള്ള വാക്യങ്ങളിൽ വ്യക്തമാകുന്നു.
