@@RexTenomous that is absolutely what it means, when a government site is shut down or abandoned they copy and discard sensitive and classified documents. If government employees accidentally put classified documents in files not explicitly intended for such it would sorta ruin the point of them being classified. Though most of the tests done on this range were not terribly secret, there was even a high profile accidental explosion in the 70s. So the files here are most likely benign and others were most likely copied and purged. Such as the information prudent to the containment of nuclear waste on the range, (against the wishes of the reservation due to desises and other horrible effects from radiation exposure). High profile rocket development pre - minuteman. Engine tests for weapons and space development etc.

Having a few Glowsticks or Glow-in-the-Dark Chalk, or basically anything that glows by itself and isn't too influenced by the environment, is also useful to mark where you've been before when you get lost, especially if the area you explore is not broken up into smaller, independent sections (Like the small sheds and bunkers here) but a larger, more sprawling complex.

Seriously this is better than most anything. I have come across similar locations to peruse the state of things past, and afterwards marveled at how times have changed and some things relegated to the sands of time until repurposed. My second experience in this was the most memorable, with a psychiatric center abandoned in Roswell. I found a way inside and managed to find documentation recording various medical practices and results for patients long passed long past and long forgotten. It's kind of like peering into another world, the same way you experience a book or game that successfully sucks you in to the labyrinth of knowledge within, taunting and daring you to seek and learn more, but always hiding the truth just a few steps away.

Stolen from the first search result: Tekoi test range is a cold war era facility built in Utah's west desert near Dugway Proving Grounds. This facility was designated inspectable as part of the START treaty with the Soviet Union. This was a treaty to reduce the number of strategic ballistic missiles and heavy bombers and their nuclear warheads. Constructed by Hercules Inc. in 1976, this facility was designed to test high explosive and combustible materials for rocket fuel.

That the log was still in that starting office... wow The things I probably would've taken from there just for the recording purposes... SO many interesting things. My cousin in national guard, and he found the old firing tables for XM (experimental munition) for the nuclear artillery round. He got to keep that one, and the guy that found the napalm tables... was quite jealous. I've literally seen first hand the firing tables used for the experimental nuclear artillery round first hand. So comparing that experience with the documents you found, is incredible!

6:49 Your party enters a small hallway, ending in a door. The door is large, and made of metal. The frame bolted to the concrete wall behind it. There is a sign identifying it as "Equipment bunker #1" and a faded sign cautioning for the use of eye protection. To the right appears to be some kind of tank with a machine on top of it. There are many pipes and wires running into and along the wall between the machines. The door has a steel pull handle, and 8 Rusted levers positioned around the edges. The one on the bottom and three levers on the left are positioned at around 2 o'clock. The one up top is positioned around 4 o'clock The three on the Right are positioned at around 10 o'clock. The dogs (latches on that marine water tight style door) aren't "up" OR "down" IS locked, it depends of where they are mounted to the door. It's just a bar, with the latch and handle colinear. Each dog has a physical stop that you can see on the outside of the door, that little tab that's sticking out. When the handle is against that stop the dog is unlatched. The "latch" is a beveled friction latch, like a wedge. Notice at 6:49 how they're ALL at an angle with the frame, not parallel? They're all "locked." You'd rotate them each CW or CCW as needed to make them all parallel with the frame, against their stops, and it would be unlatched. You can even see that on the second door you went to at 7:48, where they're all parallel with the frame and against their stops, and you can see how the mechanism works on the inside of the door. Then you went and unlatched the bottom left dog and proceeded to latch the bottom dog at 8:38 on that first door, and since it's basically a wedge, you latched the shit out of it by kicking on it like that. Really jammed that dog in there. Think of it like one those rubber door stops. The harder you shove it in there, the harder it's stuck. It's of course possible that it used odd shaped dogs (right angle or some non colinear style), but based on where the physical stops were on the outside that's not likely.

NoriMori The quote is modified quote of the book Lord of the Rings written by J. R. R. Tolkien (the scene in question being when the wizard Gandalf read an old book/diary/last will and testament sort of thing written by dwarves who had temporarily survived goblin assaults; they’d written the entry shortly before they were apparently overwhelmed and slaughtered by goblins, given their corpses were strewn everywhere). The second is a meme variant of what happens in the book immediately thereafter - the party of adventurers led by Gandalf heard the goblin war drums begin. Hope that helps!
