Someone once upon a time, dropped some serious coin on this house. The kitchen appears to be sporting corian countertops and notice all the cabinets feature slide out drawers. Now looking at the bathrooms, the house we built in 1986 had those same low profile 1 piece Kohler toilets. The grey one that was in my bathroom as a kid was $1200 bucks! That was a TON of money back then. What REALLY creeped me out was the musicbox playing the theme to Love story. That song was the first song I learned to play on the piano back in 1984. This house must have about 40miles of WALLPAPER in it. Great job exploring this cool old place.

What bothers me is that there was a pile of paperwork showing who these people were. We did not need to learn their identity for the video crew to at least share with us what the parts of the story those papers reveal. I would have asked around, too, to find out what additional information could be learned. Otherwise it's just another tour of an old home. These videos would be much more interesting if we need some background history.

@@EatTwinkies13 how are we supposed to Google this place if we have no idea where it is, what happened there etc etc?? The most I got was that maybe a doctor lived there due to the book about Phenytoin on the nightstand, it's an anti-seizure medication. And I think it's possible that there were multiple adults living there besides the parents because there were several rooms that were not kids rooms and which seemed to have been in use. But who knows... If you reckon you can find something on this place using Google why don't you share it with us then??

Totally agree! There was so so much papers and personal documents scattered everywhere. They should have sit down an hour or two trying to find some clues about the owners, their life and what could have possibly happened there! Cause ya, you don't leave a house just like that and let behind all, I mean all your personal belongings ! Even the toothbrushes and toothpaste left behind like if they were brushing their teeth when they suddenly had to rush out of the house...! For sure, no little girl would have wanted to leave without the doll she sleeps with, her musical box, her trophies, her toys...

just a friendly tip, maybe the next time you could establish a approximate date of abandonment, by checking for old newspapers, or dates on the office documents. Also maybe you could have determined the names of the owners, and business they were running by those documents.

On the desk I was able to read letterhead from the Massachusetts State Board of Health & Medical Hygiene: that is Bad News. I'm a Surgical P.A., & the only reason you get that is when a compliance issue arises, like a surgeon not scrubbing his hands or a doctor who uses unsterile items with the knowledge that they're "dirty". It's not usually little things, but things that threaten/ break the healthcare safety laws; You can be suspended, or completely have your practice license revoked permanently. There were also a lot of financial documents stern about in piles, so it would seem multiple issues were going on all at once. Just for the record, I do not seek to slander or libel the person involved, only to state what I saw & have watched occur to others. My heart goes out to these people, it's obvious whatever happened was traumatic & it is very sad.

+Mandarin J That's like the videos of the "Abandoned Cat Lady's House". Early videos show a nice house with lots of personal items and very little vandalism. Then, over a four year period, videos document the house's rapid decline as vandalism takes its toll. The most recent video shows a pile of smouldering timbers, all that remains of the house after it was burned down by vandals.

Your right when you say something terrible must have happened. Sometimes when a whole family dies like in the case of a car accident, family lives to far away or just doesn't have the money to come to take care of anything the family left behind. So it is left to decay. That's for the video, very interesting.

I am 60 and I have that exact same music box!! It was so weird that I heard the music box playing and I thought it sounded like mine that I got as a Christmas present in the 70's. Then later they showed the actual music box and it was the same one! That was a highlight of this video for me, lol!

I love these types of videos so much. The only problem is they make me really emotional. I mean, someone used to live there. A little girl used to walk up and down those halls. A family had Christmas there. But now it's just abandoned. If you think about it, everywhere is going to be abandoned someday. Your home, all your memories, they'll be gone.

  • @reyfesher1320

With all the paperwork still in the home, you could easily find the name of the previous homeowner and with that info find out a little about what happened to them. I'm pretty good at doing research, I wish I could have gotten a better look at all those documents. People often seem to ignore paperwork and documents when they urban explore, but to me those are the real treasures because they tell the story of the people that used to live there. As far as when it was abandoned I saw one document that said 2002 and mentioned a delivery date of 3/06, in other words March, 6, 2002. So the house was still lived in at least up until that date and probably even later. You can't really go by how old the items in the house are to get a sense of when the owners left, because people often keep the same things for decades, especially when they get older. A better clue is the condition of the house itself . This one does have some structural decay and dilapidation, but otherwise appears to be in fairly good shape. I'd guess it was abandoned more than 5 but less than 10 years ago.

Good explore. I didn't see that you showed much of the house. Went upstairs almost immediately then didn't show all the rooms. Jumped around a lot. I like to see the light fixtures and the old doors. The house had transome windows above the doors but you didn't show those either. Less speculating and more exploring would be nice. We will never know what happened to the people in most of the videos.

Lol, Kristy. At 5:08, my parents had the same, cordless phone in their Buena Park, California house they sold in 01. Funny story you guys will love; One day, 911 called them and said they'd received a call, what was their emergency? My Dad tells them nobody called them, & they were the only ones there. So after trying to figure out what happened, who could've called, the 911 operator asks if they own a particular brand of cordless phone. I think a Uniden. My Dad confirms that's the phone they have & ask why? Well, turns out, 911 at the time, received a lot of calls from those phones when their batteries were dying, would dial 911. Lol. Have you ever heard of that? Made my parents crack up laughing. Lol

She poured the pills on the vanity between the two sinks and left them. The living areas had a few items like a suitcase in one of them. When she went upstairs the bedroom with the large bed had a pink rosy flower bedspread, not the white one you guys show and the dresser was by the fireplace. The furniture and knick knacks in the little girl's room has been moved around as well. It is sad to see vandals destroying the property. Thanks for being respectful. The other explorer was not. My question is, I don't understand why they left so much stuff. Beds, antiques, appliances, and valuables. Something must have happened in order for them to up and leave so many things. Such a shame, they must have been terrified to leave in such a rush.

I had a music box collection when I was little and I had that same music box from the movie Love Story. It was one of my favorites! So weird to hear and see it 45 years later
