Abandoned Lost Village Of North Wales.

#LostVillage #Wales #Ruins
This week we take you to an amazing place we stumbled across whilst out exploring North Wales.. This abandoned village has been left to decay for many decades in the hills surrounding Snowdonian having been lost to a nearby slate quarry and now awaits its inevitable demise as nature slowly takes over once again..

It was part of Penrhyn Quarry just beyond Bethesda. on the banks of Afon Ogwey which runs through the Nant Ffrancon Valley emptying out into Afon Menai (The Menai Straits).

What an amazing place and so substantial - incredible to think hidden and secret places like this still exist in Britain today - what an enchanting place it must have been to explore 🙂

Thanks Rob.. the atmosphere around these places is amazing, knowing that once so many people lives up there and now it's just abandoned.. Thanks for commenting, we are both good thanks, nearly at the 5K mark now which still blows us away.. Hope you're keeping as well as you can 😊

Talysarn Hall and remains of the village, did you find the remains of the ornamental fountain? It’s worth finding.

Oh I'm not sure we did.. really needed so much more time to explore around here as there was definitely so much more to find.. We did look up all the history later which was quite fascinating. Just a shame its a 6 hour drive from us.. Thanks for watching 👍

@@mcmarky1985 Thanks, I'll definitely take being compared to Lara Croft as a compliment and Stu is a fan of Indiana Jones so I don't think he'll mind that one either lol! This place was amazing and like nothing else we'd come across before.. so glad we stumbled across it.. Thanks for watching 👍😊

What a bit of luck stumbling onto a place like that! Do you know when the buildings would originally have been built? 18th or 19th century? It all seems quite haphazard; buildings scattered all around the place. It would be good to see a picture of what it would have looked like in its heyday with people and horses coming and going. I'm sure that whole layout would become a lot clearer and make more sense. I guess there are too many trees for Stu to fly the drone in to look at some of the more dangerous areas. I look forward to hearing if you find out anything more about the place, there must be records somewhere. An enjoyable watch to go with my evening cuppa! Cheers guys…

That's would have certainly made more sense as around the other side where we couldn't get to there were some remains of tiled walls we'd heard had been showers but like I said in the video we'd read so much contradicting information we were quite sure what was actually true.. Thanks for commenting and clarifying that for us Stu 😊👍
