Abandoned in the Woods | Nova Scotia Ghost Town

A lot of history lies abandoned in the woods in Nova Scotia. We visit two sites from days gone by. You have to admit, finding evidence of past thriving communities and businesses left forgotten in the forest is a bit spooky, especially near Halloween.

I love Nova Scotia, best place in the world (that I've seen, so far). I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. ❤❤

Nova Scotia woods in the fall! Reminds me of when we moved here almost a year ago. Me and the dogs love the backroad adventures in the province too, it's such a unique place for it with a ton to see in a relatively small area compared to the larger provinces.

My grandmother worked back there. They own the house halfway to Weymouth, so the workers would stay there and carry on the next day by horse and buggy.

It was a really cool spot! I’d love to camp there, so quiet and lovely lakes and a river.

New France was also called Electric City ..not that it was an actual city but it did have the distinction of being the first village to be powered by electricity in Nova Scotia. The power being supplied by a water turbine.

We find out locations by word of mouth and also through Google searches. Many others we come across incidentally.
