Visiting a Nova Scotia Ghost Town | The Roxbury Community

Did you know NS has a Ghost Town? We explored a waterfall near the entrance and stoped to learn the history of the area. After, we continued exploring ATV roads and came across a terrified black bear and a curious coyote.

I live in an 'abandoned' town, apparently, some of the houses, people still live in, but most of the houses are abandoned. Most of the buildings are gone. There is a still an old school I believe, a fire station, what looks like a post office and community centre. Allegedly, this town was own by or the military used it at some point and later civilians moved in, probably before the 90s. Willow's Brooke, NS. Good luck finding that. If you do, it's a treat. The roads are cracked and worn, most of the houses have tall grass that covers pretty much the whole houses. It would be a great place to film a scary movie or something like that. Driving down the main road feels like you're in an apocalyptic world, that had been void of most humans for awhile. The town is not on any new maps, nor has it been for awhile. It's been 'abandoned' for probably 20 years or more. Most people in the neighbouring towns haven't heard of it. It's kinda tucked away. The only problem is, it's far from everything, with the nearest place to buy groceries like 40+ minutes away.

If it's not on any map, no one is gonna go looking forward simply cause of no starting point and why bother telling us anything about it if all you're tell us is , good luck finding it. How about a starting point??

We completely agree. The amount of history in the province that isn’t talked about that often is fascinating to find.

It would be cool to see actual structures, but the fact that Dexter Construction has signed up gives a good idea of how it would have looked. You can at least see those signs.
