I don't live too far from there, and used to cycle and play there in my youth. I always remember there being an old rusty bed, complete springs down the ladder where it's flooded. It's amazing how much that beach has changed. Great job guys 👍

The rusty bed I believe is infact still there under the flood water.. My Dad grew up around the area too, I guessing you can remember some of the other structures nearby that have since fallen to the beach?

@@ExploringWithEmAndStu The pillbox just a few hundred yards away from there, the steps and underground tunnels at Pontins that they bricked up many years ago. I remember things going over the cliff around 1976ish and seeing the rubble and a "Bullys Special Prize" speedboat at the cliff base. Oh they were the days 😁👍

Remember climbing down that rusty ladder as a kid in Kessingland. It was in the middle of a field then! (early 1980's) Good work !!

I guess at least it's been a long time falling because the cliff base there is protected by the new sand being laid down as the sea gets further away - sort of reverse coastal erosion? Nice to have it documented for the sad day when it does go. Thanks for the video.

It's certainly fairing abit better at the moment than some of our nearby coastline but inevitably will go one day like so many others 😔 That's why we feel do passionate about documenting them. Thanks for watching and commenting 🙂

This is fantastic! It's such a fascinating location and it's scary seeing the drone coverage as the structure is obviously going to disappear if it hasn't already. It's great that you've been able to capture it for the future once it's sadly gone. The erosion on the eastern coast here is frightening, my parents had a caravan at Newport near Hemsby when I was young and I don't think I'd recognise the place if I saw it now

@@autumnmatthews3179 I believe it is still there, just.. it makes me really sad everytime I see a photo online of a military structure that has just toppled over a cliff somewhere.. I know its not the same as someone loosing their home like so many have along Hemsby but it's our history being lost.. I'm sure one day we'll wish we'd done more to try and save them.. The only thing we can do is document them in our videos so one day when the sea has taken all the rubble away we'll at least be able to show people what was once there.. 😔

Another fascinating video to watch while I am stuck in hospital. Came in for chemo had a bad reaction so ended up in A and E and after 2 weeks being in here I caught covid ugh.

We'd love to visit the Brecon Becons one day, it's on our list.. Really looking forward to our Wales trip, its a family holiday so nothing too adventurous although Stu does want to climb Snowdon as he's never done it before.. Interesting location, but with the coastline closing in, it may not be here for much longer. They are still in good condition compared to some that survive elsewhere.

Yes we've certainly seen them in alot worse condition which is why it's such a shame that they will inevitably be destroyed in the near future.. Definitely worth a look before they are lost 😔

@exploringwithemstu6368 I think in 50 years time nearly all these old coastal defences and pillboxes will be lost. So sad to lose our heritage in this way.

I grew up holidaying right next to this. I've been inside a fair few times. Wonder if it's fallen down the cliff yet. I know one of the pillboxes ended up on the beach.

I believe it's still holding in there but for how much longer I don't know.. so many pillboxes as well as quite a large gun emplacement lost to the sea along here.. a real shame 😔

Odd that there are two sets of steps into those generator rooms. Seems like a lot of extra hard work to go to for no good reason unless there was originally some sort of fencing around the station and you could only gain access form one side or the other - if you get what I mean! And 200ft aerials … wow that's tall. All that graffiti is an eyesore it really annoys me. Anyway let the exploring continue … cheers!

Yes we did wonder about the numerous stairways, having visited a few ww2 radar sites now we've never come across generator rooms like this before.. The tall areals along alot of the coast back then must have been quite a sight to see.. The graffiti always makes us sad too, unfortunately we've grown so used to seeing it that we almost don't notice it any more.. 😔 Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment 👍😊
