A bowling alley located in Nanticoke, PA called LS Bowl A Rama is famous to the locals. Not because of the bowling players or the fun people had there, but because it was raided by the Police in 2009 where they discovered more than One Thousand Marijuana plants inside. This place has been abandoned ever since but was purchased in 2014 at a back tax sale. This building is set for demolition sometime in the summer of 2016. So lets take a look at what is left inside before its all gone. Enjoy the video

Wow, good research on the pot bust. Glad you did not get mixed up in the whole mess. Not much of anything resembled what it use to be. Thanks for sharing.
Wow one big mess. My grandfather was a pin setter back before everything was automated. ☺️
FANTASTIC video Jay- Loved the drone photography. Thanks for sharing. 😃🇺🇸

Drone footage always looks cool lol
Really cool! Since my aunt bought half the property to run her business, I always was curious to what's inside. Now she has everything set up. Harth Enterprise.
That is a strange roof top design...wonder what the purpose was ? Seems like it would hold rain water .A real mess inside ..bet it was hard to walk in that .(so everything will be going into the local landfill ?). It was fun to see the colorful bowling pens in the rubble. The first time I ever went bowling the ball went flying out behind me ( an embarrassing moment ) .Our daughter is going to a bowling party with the Deaf Club next week. Should be fun ... So many times your videos jog a memory ( guess I don't have to share them all. LOL )Another great tour!

That roof design is a left over from when it was a silk mill I will bet if you were to check it will face in a northerly direction as that has a more even light for the weaving looms also helps keep the weaving shed cooler in summer. The northerly direction is the slopping face.

The roof design was common for factories of yesteryear. It is designed for a couple of things. Like what John McCallum said, sunlight come in, and cooling. The roof design is called Sawmill Roof. Yes, you are right about rainwater that is one of the cons or the negative reason why factories abandoned the Sawmill Roof design and they are all now using Flatted roof design but has a lot of lights in their buildings with LED lights now. When it was LS Bowl-O-Rama, apparently the Ellis Family lower ceiling paneling by adding to it. Now, I see you have a daughter going (or rather, went to) a bowling party with the Deaf Club. I take she is Deaf. I am Deaf and I am a Roller Rink Historian. Hope she had a good time!
Its october of 2018 and the building is still standing and nobody's did anything to it at all

At one time it was a McGregor shirt factory. My grandma used to work there.
So cool how you start with the drone and then go in. You Da man!

Tour video are amazing! But wow over that many plants. Insane! Too bad the city dont step in make it into something for the kids to enjoy. Sure would be awesome. I keep saying that for our town and surrounding towns sure help with the crime and latch key kids here. Keep the great videos going 💜
Very interesting. Have a nice day now.
Huge building and what decay. Almost hard to tell it was a bowling alley! Drone footage was awesome and so was explore.

Your channel helped me feel brave enough to go down into my apartment basement, however, I got very sick, it is an uncomfortable conversation that I have no one to talk about with. All these videos are more than a time in history. I know I can't leave a real comment. Keep going!
One thousand+ pot plants? Gives the term "bowling" a whole new meaning.. But, seriously, dude, I love your vids.. Just catching up on what I've missed!

Didn't have a mask, i honestly had no idea it was that bad until i got in there. I was more afraid of falling through the floor as most of it was soft and spongy with water.
Nice work 😎 ✌🏼

It's been years since I last went to that greatest bowling alley I use to play it there with the bouncing ball with other kid with I was young
Wish there was a way to get the drone in the skating entrance. I'd love to see if there is anything on that side...the skating floor, rental area, etc...
I like the ones where you talk to us much better ..but like all of your videos

Didnt talk much in the older videos.
Bowled my highest series there 267-279-300 = 846 I was also there the night 898 (300-300-298) was shot.
Looks like a bomb exploded in there! Great exploration! :)

This was definitely one of the more sketchy, destroyed locations i have visited so far.
Bowling alleys are freaking EXPENSIVE to run and maintain - especially within the last 10 years or so. Can't keep up the payments on the property, equipment, or both. Each pinsetter (one LANE) can cost up to $100,000 to install and maintain. That's why many owners just shut the place down (or default on the loan) and walk away once business slows to a halt.
Great video. man, it’s really totaled.

sad poor old bowling alley :(
They do not build anything now a days like they did in the passed. They do not do anything like the unique shapes and architecture like back in the day.

As many as possible, i'm always on the lookout for them. I have a few more i plan on filming later this summer and into the fall.
I have never seen different solid colors of pins in a real bowling alley before, interesting.

Back in my younger years many moons ago they had what was called moonlight bowling if you got a strike when a colored pin was the head pin they paid you money
This kinda sad for me, because the bowling alley in my town closed and it's going to be a planet fitness. We already have 3 gyms in this town like we need another.

I couldn't find any specific reasons as to why it closed, but a few locals have said the owner let the place fall in disrepair and attendance dropped off year after year forcing it to close.
