Thats what you do with a boat you have been towed back to the boat ramp in, one to many times.
What Rail Finder App do you use? I'm in Minnesota and and to try and find RAIL that has been retired or abandoned. It seems like they rip them up and make "Rails to Trails' with most everything!
I hope your packing a PIECE! 🤨
i found a stove and unseen by google a large wooden chicken coop
I enjoyed watching it.Thanks JP
Seems like an awful lot of people not paying much attention to what they're doing.
About that boat: When I lived in Pittsburgh I heard a saying, the 2nd best day in a man’s life is the day he gets himself a boat. (The best day is the day he gets rid of it . . .)
Keep seeing this I guess you move in home sweet home 😂
There is a couple that extensively travels on Amtrak. They post on KZread under Grounded Travel. They do lots of videos on their favorite routes, tips, tricks, for train travel. Might help you in planning future train travel for you and your family.
Nice tower pretty big they should fix it for future generations! Thanks for sharing! ❤😊
Thank you for sharing your adventure with serendipitous finds.
Beautiful building that was built to last. When you said about turning it into a house, I was picturing someone with a vehicle that would run on the rails pulling up in the front. Hopefully someone decides to preserve it.
someone was there in march 2024
To me there is nothing sadder than an abandoned railroad line. I used to find places like this when I lived in Iowa. Thanks for the video!
Beautiful. A shame it's covered in graffiti.
Trippier getting fit ti return at toon ?
So why can't you go that way over the bridge ?
It's considered active railroad property with train cars on the other end. Plus there's nothing to see over there.
Made a mountain out of a coal hill.
This man is terrified of frogs 😂
Falls look and sound like a broken pipe in the men's room.
Those are terra-cotta roofing shingles, very popular in the Mediterranean area, Mexico, South America, California and other parts of the U.S. These shingles are very durable and weather very well.
Love the Conrail shirt. Big Blue all the way. Great video.
got a ep-2 pro and man its a fun beast... have you tried that one , if so, any major differences?
it sure would make a great house to live in , i wouldn't mind living right by the tracks interesting video
I would guessed mineshaft. Ive lived in a area that had those "ponds". with encing around for people not to swim in. Because those small looking ponds goes deeep.
The rails might be still there because, they don't own the right of way, it's entirely possible, that, Conrail's successes, probably Norfolk Southern, still owns the railroad track right of way yet, so, that's always a possibility too.
It would take extreme explosive force to bring down that tower. That is why it still exists.
I love the still pictures and the end! Beautiful photography!😊
What a monster.!!!!!very interesting story!!love it!!!!
Lovely vid, compelling, professional, historical and sad and reality. Surprised of the access. Great job
$4.6 mill to save the town for which they said no only to pay $42 mill to relocate the town’s people. They tried saying the town was only worth $500,000….even in the 80’s Yeah Right. That’s like 50 cents an acre after counting the price amount for houses, businesses and natural resources.
Nice video very interesting. That was a coincidence that you met that man with those dogs. Exactly in that place you were looking for. Luckily you found it later
Funny turn of events, but it worked out in the end.
Bring a ladder!
😊
There's money to be made if you could get a vehicle back there and haul some stuff out.
i wish there were trails like this where i live.
Interlocking tower.
Thanks for taking us into this charming, well built switch house. Yes, they don’t make them like they used to! They probably had architects designing these kinds of buildings; built for aesthetic pleasure as well as usefulness. Thank you for taking us, JP. Always looking forward to your next one! I pray that you have a wonderful Father’s Day tomorrow with your family; God bless you all……..🌝
The sign said brook trout affected by climate change. It looked like the stream was infested with brook trout.
I think I’m on the right trail now, holy sh*t! That was not a comforting ending. Be safe & never go back alone.
Make an AWESOME Little house...a cool fixer upper...lol
People having to live where they can. Fallen middle classes. I know you 😢
Thanks for this tour, wished you could have gone to the top floor. I agree, very well made and with style.
Unfortunately with everything removed there wouldn't be much to see, but thanks for checking it out.
What is your rail line showing app called? Great video!
Rail guide
@@JPVideos81 Thank you, it seems like a really cool program!
My grandfather lived in Mahanoy City, & I would spend my Summers there. His home was still heated by Coal & also for cooking. He passed in 1971. Since I was the only male I had to bring up the Coal & do the ashes. I remember going along the Colliery in my Uncle's car. He would take & return us home. End to end it was a flat town but side to side it was very steep. There was a School there that had hundreds of steps to go up to go inside. His front porch was 6ft. off the ground but the back was actually below ground. He was on Centre St. His back yard was to Railroad St. across was an access road to the RR. It also had a Brewery there( Kaier's ) but it was bought by another one, then was abandoned. It was still active when I went there. I would climb a hill on other side of tracks, you could see the whole town from up there. I have seen the fence of his back yard in train videos. The alley was at it's highest point there. Thanks , I found the video interesting. I was to Centralia while there was still Graffiti highway then.
Thanks for sharing
Every abandoned video, they left everything! No the died & nobody wanted it or they moved & left their trash. lol
They didn't all die at once...

wiew whut an incredible ryde amd peeple it helps
A drone to see the upstairs would have been nice
Wonderful relic of a bygone era. Hope it stands for another 80 years. My grandfather, as a young man, operated a similar switching station for the New York Central when he moved up here from Edwardsville Pa.
