THE BEST WAY TO PROTECT ROADS EVEN HERE ABROAD IS MAKE SURE THAT ALL THE HOUSES, SHOPS CLOSE TO THE ROAD SHOULD CEMENT THEIR FRONTAGES UP TO THE GUTTERS.,BY SO DOING, THE SAND WILL NOT BLOCK THE DRAINS.. IF THIS IS NOT DONE RIGHT AWAY ALL THE GUTTERS WILL BLOCK VERY SOON.. THEIR SHOULD BE NO SANDS SURFACE NEAR THE ROAD. God Bless Gov. Otti

People walk on drainage covers without knowing it's the drainage underneath , cos they weren't there to be aware of the construction design , people live in high rise buildings without knowing that it's on a rail line cos they met the house there and not the construction , let's check our laws to know where the responsibility of the landlord starts and ends may be , outside in public areas mostly management of houses are by agencies and they play the game according to the rules , attachment , illegal structures and landlordship are not common

Traffic lights are also recommended and speed-limit signs are also recommended Sir. Also the people should learn to cross the road at zebra crossing and keep the streets clean. Nice job. My criticism remains- why are residents not playing any role in all of this? Julius Berger is busy cleaning, sweeping washing, but outside the covered drainage, dirt and grime reign supreme and business owners do not lift a finger to tidy up anything. New Aba can only work if residents of this city take ownership and do their own bit.

Nice one. However, where is traffic light? Where is Bus stops? There is a problem here. The small parts outside the pedestrian is very dirty with water lodges! A second drainage that will channel the zinc waters from the shops to the drainages is needed or the local council ( local government) should put marble/ tiles / interlocking stones on the sand areas behide the pedestrian-drainage walkways and channel the rain waters to the drainage. Those carring wheelbarrows should not walk on the pedestrian with loads!!!. Put traffic lights all round and build a pedestrian flyovers at the major junctions. Good luck Abians 👍

While the government are doing their part, the local authorities must try and enforce city ordinances such as landlords cleaning their properties and assisting with cement or interlocking stones on their own front yards. There is no reason why this must not happen. Compare this to the years of flooded streets. At least it won’t break their bank as their property has greatly appreciated following the rehabilitation and construction of the road

Bro Has Aba got a masterplan or not? If it has, why are shanties allowed everywhere or are these structures part of the master plan? It will be surprising if the colonial authorities built that Aba Town Hall without a master plan for Aba. Is Ohanku Road supposed to be flanked on both sides by shanties as it is now? If not, ABSG should start now to alert the residents of this city of the need to restore Aba's masterplan as part of its positioning. * Imagine the crass corporate irresponsibility of that bank blocking the pathway with its own no parking display without even making any effort at beautifying their own frontage.
