    If you kill their emmisarries, and apparently lose Persia. Come back and always have a leader that uses feint and similar mongol tactics and also coincidentally was born from slavery just like Genghis Khan was and take back the entire Muslim world, converting the Mongols and causing the Ilkhanate and other Muslim khanates.

    @@explosionspilot4265 they only "converted" because it would be easy to rule over the muslims. Most mongols remained tengrists or buddhists. @@goodstuff6006 Muslim preaching was very common and Mongolian muslims were a huge prescence. The way to prove this is Mongol DNA within Persians especially even Arabs themselves. The reason why muslim presence doesn't exist in native Mongol land is because Muslims weren't very common in the native land itself. The muslim mongol population was very big at that time, remember that Ilkhanate and the Golden horde were settled by native muslim Mongols and were the Islamic expansionist fronts of the entire mongolian diaspora. These muslim mongols may not appear in the areas closer to Mongolia but they still appeared nonetheless in the fronts of where Islam came from. I agree maybe they only converted because they would wanna appeal the muslims, however you forgot that some leaders made poems about how Muslims are braver than a Mongol and how they sing "poems of death" during war. They were also comparing Muslims to Mongols and mass conversions were so huge due to Muslim preaching being bigger than the Christian or Jews.

  • @goodstuff6006

    @goodstuff6006

    @@explosionspilot4265 the mongols were extremely pragmatic. It is extremely unlikely that they converted because they truly believed in anything. The mongols converted to buddhism in china to better control the population. The golden horde converted in order to gain easy access to the trade in the middle east rather than europe. The mongols converted to christianity when the christians were the most powerful in central asia. And yeah, youre proving my point. There was no muslim presence in mongolia, so there was no reason to convert at all. When they conquered qhwarezmia, the population was already mostly muslim. And so they "converted" so that they wouldnt have to deal with the jihad bs.

    The Han Chinese fought against the Mongols for 45 years. There were hundreds of battles in total. In 1259, the second Mongol emperor (Mongke) was killed in Diaoyucheng. This led to the early end of the second Mongol westward expedition. Meng Gong, the general commander of the Song Dynasty, was the only general who could defeat the Mongol army continuously during the heyday of the Mongols. He almost never lost in his battles with the Mongols. The final defeat of the Han Chinese was related to the lack of the Song Dynasty and horses. Genghis Khan conquered the Western Liao Empire (Khitan 1124-1218) in Xinjiang in 1218, and then went to war with Khwarazm. Before Genghis Khan's death (1227), the Han Chinese (Song) and the Mongols were military allies, and the Han Chinese and the Mongols did not go to war at that time. After the Mongols destroyed the Western Xia (Dangxiang) and the Jin (Jurchen), they fought against the Han Chinese in 1234. 45 years later, in 1279, the 8-year-old emperor of the Han Dynasty (Song) surrendered to the Mongol Kublai Khan.

    The second Tatar invasion was the 1285 campaign of the Golden Horde against the Kingdom of Hungary. The Tatar warlord Nogaj and his ally, Talabuga, wanted to take advantage of Hungary's internal political crisis and organized a plundering campaign against it. The Tatars attacked in the north and south-east with two armies, but they encountered strong resistance from the start, and were defeated at Pest by the royal and noble forces. They then retreated through Transylvania, while the local barons and the population inflicted further heavy losses on them.

    There's just something that makes it virtually impossible for the english speakers to pronounce any slavic personal name understandably even if they are just one syllable. The name 'Jan' in Jan Dlugosz sounded like 'Gun'. The surname, surprisingly, was pronunced pretty well.

    Mongols were the First Nation to be good with diplomacy. They used countries against each other , divided them , and pick them off one by one . If a country is too strong they didn’t take them head on , they created allies , tried to use the opposition against the other
