I still remember Boone’s first presser in his first Spring Training. He talked about massively reducing the work they do on the back fields because it’s a long season. I immediately was concerned. I had NEVER heard of a manager reducing the amount of work they do on the backfields during Spring Training. I was immediately concerned and I saw evidence in the first 20 games that our team wasn’t prepared to start the season. This was just the first of countless issues I’ve had with Boone before he even put on uniform for his first regular season game as our manager. He pissed me off in his very first Spring Training and I’ve been pissed off ever since!!!

Agree Pete! I don’t know how Boone can Garner any of his players respect. Sure he’s a likable dude I’ll give him that. But even if it is an old-school way of thinking, I still feel as though your manager should hold some power of intimidation over you as a player underneath him. I think you are right that accountability should be a very important concept for any professional sport. Boone has not instilled any sense of accountability and that is a fireable offense. However, I feel as though the rot has infected much more than simply the manager. At this point Cashman also is at fault and should be dismissed. I doubt that any of this will happen, and I’m sure that the organization will do their best to gloss over things and maintain business as usual. I think that most of the fans recognize, however, that they are being bamboozled and that is both infuriating and depressing.

Have the Yankees ever fired a manager mid season cause if this continues they might have to do it.

Anyone who believes that Boone is the only problem, isn't watching very closely. While he is a problem, who hired him? Cashman and Hal gotta go--both. There is no hint or glimmer of change from either, so we can't just be 'hopeful' that Hal will start to care. The lack of care for the sport and its outcome, the laziness of play, and the misdiadnosing of injuries is what is concerning/scary. Something here is absolutely not okay. Last time I checked, the NYY are a Major League Team--that means playing at the highest standard for this sport, with the best facilities, the best employees, the best medical care. Playing a sport is hard, but we're not playing for participation trophies. These players and staff signed up to compete at the highest level of baseball, and if you're not up to the standard that even the fans demand, then you're in the wrong line of business. At the end of the day, major league sports doesn't care if you're 'in a slump' or if you got injured, or if you're over 30--if you're not at the level to be consistently successful in your play, then see ya.

Should Aaron Boone be fired YES will he get fired before the end of the season NO but to me the writing looks like it’s on the wall with the manager. I have always said and I will stick to my guns that even when the Yankees were winning early on in the season they still cannot win with Boone as the manager and I have not wavered from that.
