Finally a solution to the issue I've had with my beloved QS Twin 1Ghz. Many thanks. Now I need to look around for sorting an issue with one of my Blue & White G3 that starts "occasionally" but runs faultlessly when it does.

I am glad this video helped you out. Your PowerMac G3 blue/white issue is most likely a power supply fault. I had a similar issue with another PowerMac G4 QuickSilver where you had to have it plugged in for 30-40mins, then it would start. Once it was started it would work OK. This is more than likely a capacitor failure (or gradual failure) and probably require a recap or a complete power supply replacement.

@@aa-au Almost certainly. A visual inspection of the B&W G3 shows nothing obvious. Leaving it powered on in a non-booted state for c.5-10mins seems to do the trick.

Thank you for your positive feedback. We want to inform people with as much information as possible, rather than just another "repair", "tear down" or "pull apart" video with no information whatsoever. Make sure you like, share and subscribe so we can produce more videos. Thanks again.

@@aa-auIndeed, I will. If it were for a more common computer, I'm sure this video would be in the tens or hundreds of thousands of likes :-) I have a Quicksilver btw that won't boot after trying to add a Startech IDE to SATA adapter with the Master jumper set. I've tried everything from pulling the battery and waiting 24 hours, to taking everything out, cleaning and reseating - still nothing. If you were in the U.S., I'd either send it to you, or try to get a working motherboard replacement from you, which is what I think it needs. These Macs are so temperamental! I just booted up my Mac SE after 33 years, which has an accelerator card, monitor card, larger drive...and never had a problem like with this Quicksilver -- which has changed my hair to the same color! Anyway, thanks to your video, I know I can get a working one and swap parts until I Frankenstein one together that works. Cheers!
