You’re right the FL does come with a electronically controlled plumb back design diverted valve which is completely silent. Although it is rated for the power band, there is no harm in upgrading it to the dual port design. You surely will get a lot more noise from then engine, when you let go of the throttle. More street credit right…

Is it okay to disconnect the ecu with the battery connected?

Its okay to disconnect with ignition off battery attached but you'll need an error code reader in case you get some warning on dash. If you have got diagnostic tools then just simple disconnect the battery wait a min then you can disconnect the battery.
