never had a problem with the gearbox, however i bought one similar age 2 years ago and two weeks after purchase the rear diff went (at 40,000 miles) also its running 430hp stage 1.5 - which is a tune and an airfilter.

Love all your content mate but I would like to see more vids of you buying cars and selling them and all the bits in the middle, it’s great seeing cars you are giving away on POD but I would like to see more sales 👍🏼

Had the facelift A45 and loved every second of it until I was smashed into head on (not too far from old BINCA) and it was written off! Whoever wins it will enjoy it.

I have a 2014 mercedes a180 cdi automatic and sometimes when i drive an error message will show saying reverse not possible consult to workshop. After that the car will only drive in gear 2,4,6 but after i turn it off and back on its back to normal. Anyone know what the issue could be I’ve taken it to a few places and they couldn’t find the problem

A45 has a power distribution of 35 65 Or 60 40? I set fastest lap time twice on timeattack events, idk what is better 50 50 or 35 65 for racing 😅

Golf R personally. Only because of the size though, A45 is quite small. Golf R’s are good size 👌

The power fogures youre quoting are wrong mate stage 2 os 440 bhp stage 3 is 460-500bhp

I think when the cars cold it engages the power slower as a preventative measure in order to not overrev or put to much pressure on the engine while it’s not warm yet.. or it just performs better with a warmer engine like any other car, just an idea

Does anyone own one of these? I've been looking but heard they need a service every year and was wondering how much the servicing costs and stuff are. I had an m140 and the price of the servicing was daft despite the lack of miles I ever done.

Yes, too much for the miles I do (4000 p/y). Around £300 for “A” service, £650 for “B” service that normally includes gearbox or rear diff service, and that’s at an independent! Let alone main dealer.

Isn't annual service the norm these days? VAG have the option for long life intervals but I'm not convinced they are good for the car in the long run, just a way of keeping costs down on a PCP and let the next buyer pick up the problems out of warranty. For the performance they offer the service costs aren't too crazy at an independent as smithy647 said, MB wanted £120 per month for a service pack though. In comparison Ford wanted £450 for a B service on a Mk8 Fiesta ST, just for oil, filter, cabin filter and 3 plugs - no rear diff or gearbox oil change involved in that, even the A service oil and filter is £270.

I support the channel, but if it was my clio I would try my hardest... 😂

M135i for the way they drive. Golf R is probably the most modern. A45 is the most aggressive looking.

A45 for drift mode, 4wd and looks best M135i for tuneability & affordability Golf R would be the one I'd be most comfortable in as I have an Ed30 with 300hp and that is plenty of power for UK roads. If I lived near the Autobahn then A45 for sure 😂
