About Wurt's diet I feel there should be some mention of flower salad (40 hp) for as soon as you reach summer, by picking all cacti twice in a summer you can potentially get a significant amount of heals by just cooking the flowers with some kelp or stonefruit and bundling it all up, this also doesn't suffer the potential problem of jellybeans only healing over time and allows you to completely skip farm plots. Another personal favorite is figatoni (30hp 60ish hunger), I like carrying a bundle of these better than kelp or stonefruit and it's not nearly as annoying to get as dragonpie, however it does have the downside of being nearly impossible to mass produce without a ton of fig trees so it ends up being somewhat situational

for me creamy potato puree is the best.. u got 33 health and 33 sanity iirc and its really cheap.. only need garlic and potato whhich is very easy to farm..

2:52 Additionally one can find saladmanders in lunar island. When they're killed in their ripe state* they'll always drop 1 dragon fruit, so if you kill 5 ~ 6 of those and turn the fruits into seeds using a cage bird you can easily start a dragon fruit farm at early game. * You can get them in this state by throwing a bath bomb inside the hot springs they sleep next to. It should take one night for them to ripe, just be careful when fighting them since when ripen they pack quite the punch and they've a considerable amount of health.

Who the fuck said that wurts bad wurt can build a merm army and solo bosses without breaking a sweat

When it comes to normal Merm Houses, I tend to like making normal Merm Houses in caves, since there are fewer bosses there and normal Merms are generally plenty strong enough to handle the dangers of the caves, even without a king. I've been considering making a King on both the surface and in the caves, but that also stretches my time and resources a bit more than I want them to. Unless I hate myself and want to fight Toadstool, I feel normal Merms are good for caves and Guards are good for the surface.

The main mods should be Geometric placement and also Combined Status. I don't know about the other ones though.

One correction, she doesn't lose sanity from holding meat, she loses sanity from holding dead fish (morsel/rotten fish)

Its most likely people who play her wrong and die early. Shes not exactly an early game chasrcter. Which makes it so much better when you do get late game as her.

Wurt is basically a civilization builder and I hope the skill tree leans into that more like how they made Wigfrid more combat focused, Willow into a fire mage and Wilson into an alchemist.

Tomatoes and potatoes don't get seasonal bonus on winter

Great vid! As someone who's played her a bunch I have to admit I'm looking forward to swapping to a lower maintenance character next playthrough. Her setup takes a while if you want to make full use of her, particularly the seasonal fish which are a pain to find. Plus I'm tired of farming lol, but this video reminds me why I played her in the first place. Perhaps I will return to her someday if I'm playing a long world and don't mind farming. Any tips on getting sun fish and ice bream are appreciated btw. I tried a trawler in their spawning region and malbatross attacked pretty much straight away... so I'm out of ideas on a non painful method.

14:16 I am fairly sure Wurt only has a sanity drain if she has Fish meat or Spoiled Fish in her inventory. 3:55 With the addition of the Plain Omlette and breakfast skillet, one can sadly not do this anymore. Now you can at most make Fist full of Jam with 2 eggs and 2 berries, literally cutting its usefullness in half.

I never found Wurt fun personally. Her downsides dont feel potent enough for my tastes. (I already never use Pierogi for healing so I didnt notice a different with her vegetarian diet.) Hope this helps some people though.

i'm seeing htis for the first time ever, and my thoughs are: so wurt is becoming a cult of the lamb player in dst but without having to feed the people? cool, i'll buy her and use her until my mom can try to buy me cult of the lamb when she can (i absolutely adore inflation and i do not want to leave my country even if i have been waiting almost 9 years to get out of it what so ever, i love my life!!!)

Question. When you build your 20 merm guard houses in that layout. Do you usually build a lightning rod and iceflingomatic? Do you ever worry about them catching on fire? Thats my worry.

Yes. Merms are agressive towards other characters, unless they're wearing the disguise wurt can craft.

great video, too bad it doesnt touchdown on wurt s most common problem that not many players find the answer to. merms not coming out their houses in caves, is it a glitch? poor placement? seasonal when under caves? they dont need light on surface so i dont see how placement would matter :( they just wont come out and i have ressources wasted now, kinda discouraging as a beginner wurt player

Irrc normal merms won't leave their houses on winter and warriors will only leave when a king is alive on that shard.

Yes. Protective hats like football helmet will give extra defence to the merm wearing it, but the merms have a lot of HP and respawn from their houses quickly, so it's kinda pointless. Helmets that lose durability overtime like eyebrella will still lose durability overtime and break. And the enlightened crown doesn't light up on the merms head because npcs don't have sanity, I've tried :)
