Suggestion for your vlogs: when you go back to school, make "a week in my life" as a student just like you did in this video. Also, ignore all the political bickering in your comment section. Whenever anyone make a video relatively positive about China, people will find any reason to put you or China down. It's just a sad reality 😢 People can't just leave politics outside of a normal vlog it's sad.

You really do feel more cultured when you travel, but when you get the opportunity to live somewhere else it's different. A blessing to be able to experience and absorb it daily, and understand the history of how things came to be, and why things are the way they are. Also some mysteries that you will never understand, but just observe. Overall you gain a deeper understanding of the world.

When I visit, Shanghai Tower was my coollest experience. I had a backpack full of beer, bought the tour ticket to take the elevator to the top. I sit at the second floor corner and just watch the sunset with cold beer for a good hour, literally the best view in the city

Thank you for your video diary. I really feel that you are truly integrated into the local life in Shanghai. In fact, most foreign bloggers who are not biased and distorted towards China are often more popular in Chinese self-media platforms than in youtobe. I suggest youto open an account on Chinese platforms like bilibili or 小红书. I think the Chinese audience will like you haha, I hope your life in China is smooth and happy

It just open maybe a week or 2 ago and Tim Cook was hosting the opening ceremony himself. He opened the door to greet the first customers. Because Apple is losing market share in China to Huawei and other Chinese brands. It's market share dropped from 20 some % previous year to 19% last year. And it is expected they will drop even more this year because Hwawei will have at least 2 to 3 new phones coming out this year.

Because China losen up their visa policy lately so more people from other countries can come to see the real China for themselves. The more people come to visit China, the more people would realized how they were misleaded by their own medias before they came. A smart move by Chinese government. You should come to see it for youself too if you haven't yet.

She should have her 14 year old sister more often to get more views. The sister has the IT factor in looks. I wish they don't have to stay in Shanghai for long as that is a smoggy city for the most part and the AQI (air quality index) is often unhealthy. In Google you can just type (Shanghai AQI) and you will see the reading for air quality. That is why on her video, the sky is always cloudy compared the New York City skyline you see blue skys. Shanghai is the equivalent of the days when Detroit was #6 city by building all the cars. Or, like Pittsburgh, PA when they were pumping all the steel. Shanghai air is pretty polluted. Shanghai plays a key role in China’s heavy industry. The largest steelmakers in China are based in Shanghai. This is why automobile manufacturing remains the city’s most important industry. Companies like Volkswagen and General Motors have their China plants located here. Shanghai is also a leading manufacturer of plastics, ICs, ethylene, microcomputers, and mobile phones.

Are your reports on China's air quality still from a decade ago? China's air quality has improved a lot now, Shanghai is a city with a lot of electric cars and is a very green city. I suggest you check the world AQI, Shanghai's annual average AQI for 2023 is 28.7, Grimshaw, Canada 27.5,Toluca de Lerdo, Mexico 28.3,Xonacatlan, Mexico 29.2...These are annual averages AQI for 2023, and there are a lot of Mexican cities and some Canadian cities around this number, and you can see that Shanghai's air quality is similar to these NA cities. Yup, New York air quality is better, 11.6,Coraopolis 19.3,I admit, the air quality in the US is better. But you've seen those numbers. Shanghai's air quality isn't that bad. Shanghai’s air quality is healthy most of the time, bad weather occasionally occurs in winter. The sky is always cloudy? Nah...Blue skies are still quite common in Shanghai, the video you see is edited and toned down, with a little bit of artistic filtered color, just like movie.
