The gap between us is not really there. There's no gap between me and God. God is inside me just like God is inside you God is all .. I see God in you as I am feeling my ray of God in me. All things are part of the love of God. Our Ray's are rays of love. I have had voices in my head telling me how great everything i do or be is for 30-40 years ... Since finding out that people usually have a critical voice inside critical of everything that they do i have started giving myself criticism but I do this out loud and I feel awkward doing it and as I listened to this i realized that I was doing this to see what this would be like.. i can't do the criticism inside my head but I can say critical things to myself.. such an awkward thing to do.. I did have a negative entity inside that could negate my thoughts but I realized it was there and I could locate where its presence was and sometimes I would isolate the negativity. I will probably listen to this again it's so very enjoyable to listen to.. but I don't agree with all the ideas here.. my God is love and is all of everything ...

I listen at x0.75 speed; it helps. I think it’s not just his speaking but the fact that it seems that all of the pauses have been taken out of the audio recording. That’s, for example, a function when you’re making voice recordings on an iPhone. But you can also do it post when editing the audio. I don’t know if that’s the way they decided to edit or record these sessions, but you’ll notice when the audience is laughing, he does pause. There are likely pauses that have been edited away that really would have been useful for being able to take in the information. But I imagine they must have recorded it with an option to exclude space because of how silent the room would become for a long time during various exercises. Anyway, try listening to it on a bit slower of a play speed, and pause after his questions, as I’m sure he did that live. It may help!

I guess the question that lady asked about the messenger be always about a "negative" or unpleasant message , was not fully answered. I understood she meant: "and if we have a person in front of us that is being nice and gentle, does it deliver the message that we are nurturing ourself and being in touch within?" Anyone an answer on that? My take is that, in the turmoil of our different systems, we still have some moments of grace we reflect to one another. This is, the less we have those veils and the more we can just be joy, love and peace.

Thoughts and emotions do not coexist. Focus on the small sounds that are surrounding you right now. Recognize the feeling of your hand against this screen. Even though these are all existent sensations, we do not live our daily lives lost in thoughts and emotions. Using all your five senses, concentrate on what is happening in the present moment. Stay focused on the present moment

What do you do in a situation when you have a special needs child and you experience disinterest and rejection from your family when you desperately need a support system? When it feels almost impossible on days to become your own support because you are overwhelmed with needing to stay emotionally strong to be present with that child? I’m assuming this still applies; become your own support system since expecting it other is ludicrous. But it’s more than a psychological inner deal, it’s a tangible community needed to help one feel supported with the issue at hand. But since it can’t be, resentment because it’s not there is resentment against oneself. So confused actually in this context when tangible emotional help feels necessary for the care and support of the child, and what you receive is rejection. And how do I learn from this child as I am trying so hard when I’m emotionally ragged. What are you meant to learn from a child in general,he gives examples of mother/father/sister brother.

Jason Carr : I reflected on that too. I have brothers, ( and found it makes sense to me), but I also question it as to challenge the validity of the theory as a whole, and here s my take on that: I also have some friends that are in my life like brothers. But I also met at some point some elder Flatmates or landlord of mine, 20 years ago, that would make that role for me, the one of a brother, in some particular moment. And so I believe it goes for those 4 characters. I also believe those four aspect of taking care of ourselves could be mirrored by one and same person only, even a stranger at a café or even an element like water or a forest. And in some cases the roles could be inverted like, the mum acting like a sister and sister acting like a mum .Michael must have used the pattern of that family as general consensus, we can usually recognise, but not limited to ( perhaps he should have added). All the best to you.

I believe the people who recorded this intentionally set it to delete all pauses in audio in order to cut out the long silences during the exercises. It’s just kind of too bad they didn’t just edit out the breaks instead of editing out ALL pauses… it is really hard to listen to.😔 I don’t know if this will help you, but I slowed it down to x0.75 speed to listen, and paused after questions we were meant to think about or answer, or for the exercises. It helped a little bit. It might help you.😊 In case you want to revisit it after 3 years. Lol

so how do you stay a person who cares for issues in the world and doesn't like to see people suffer, yet not be involved in drama? I do not want to involve myself in this so called drama, yet I do not want to see anybody harmed with policy that is cruel and heartless. How do you stay involved with matters where people need help, yet stay uninvolved because you no longer need drama as part of your reality? I will not minimize other's pain/suffering so I don't have to be involved in drama. Because I choose to not know of it doesn't mean it still isn't happening and I shouldn't care, does it? confused

seoreh : I hear you. This teaching though is not to be taken as : " I do not care for others and the multiples ways they can suffer". It's not about denying what is or how we feel about it. It's actually the opposite: we accept how we feel about what is, as a starting point, may it be about ourself or the "drama" of others. So going through the presence process or similar work, is a way we'll have a united insight, instead of a dual point of view from our divided emotions/mind/body. Then we'll be able to be off help from than within, undivided place. That teaching reminds us : we, as individuals or as communities, have been feeling turn by turn, like the following : "I feel like I am , with some others, wanting peace in the world, but against so many that aren't and those communities that were being peaceful were destroyed anyway ending being the victims of some type of faith." 1: looking at it this way, we see that trying to fix the outer world, even peacefully, has still not helped for peace in the world. 2: as we are not in touch with our inner world and as a result not in touch with our guidance, we believe solutions only can come with mental of physical, emotional effort, being randomly effective, and that somehow the power of creating a lasting solution is out of our hand/reach. 3: how can we put in place some genuine help or peaceful deeds if we cannot do it within is first? So perhaps we can look within and observe that the situations with my family or neighbour might seem to be outside of me, but so long I react emotionally to it, remain a teaching/ message for me. And whatever I observe, may it be my friend's life or the news, if I'm still in a place where I "judge it", will work the same way. Hope this help

seoreh by practicing being in the present moment and getting to the point where you have surrendered your fears to your higher power it just emerges real compassion and love. Not love from the ego but the soul. If you continuing practicing this all these answers will appear. You will intuitively know because now you are connected to a power greater than yourself. Not the power of your self will from your false thoughts and perceptions of the mind. It works.
