    Don't cut off the parts from the Bridgelayer side skirts!!! Keep them as is, and either manufacture new ones, or see if there's anyone with a regular set who would trade. I can't imagine Bridgelayer side skirts are particularly common, so cutting up an original set seems like a bad idea!

    They were likely fitted to the vehicle when it was converted to an AVRE in the early 1980's or whilst in service. They are not necessarily 'wrong' and cutting them up would be a complete waste.

    That's the cent that was in my late cousin's farmyard, it belonged to his fitter. I did have a good clamber over the tank 4years ago, glad she's been saved, cheers

    I crewed one of these for years in Germany, those are the proper tracks, the hush puppy tracks were used on the REME Cent ARVs as it gave them more grip and traction for towing, never saw them on any of our AVREs or guntanks. To be fair

    Caution: You should always wear a padded tankers helmet or equivalent when inside a tank to prevent splitting your head open on nasty steel protrusions!
