Do the massey more work but a more superior tractor at the end.

Use the crank hydraulic pump as a hydraulic motor ? Connect the lines up to another pump and use that to rock the engine over ?

Gotta be the DB for the run with the timescale you have, then get the Massey going as much better workhorse round yard. Be sure to take us all along with you! 😁

The Massey will be very useful but I would say the DB for a road run! Keep up the good work Matt

MF Yellow 30E option 2, not because it is more work, but because it will be harder to get out.

The yellow Massey is the better tractor but it'll take more doing to get it working. Very much a long term project, I'd say. The Brown is an absolute shed but it should be easier to get vaguely working.

I have a sort spot for Massey but the brown looks cooler

I think the Brown will be more fun for the rally, seeing what's left of it by the time you (possibly) make it back.

I'd say the advantage is for the Brown as a quick "fun" project (if you find the parts you need). The Massey sounds like it would be a more long term project, but very useful in the end.

Brown, it has that classic farm look about it, & you said the Massey is on the list anyway.

Massey!!! Infinitely more useful and interesting, last tractor run I saw there were at least 4 browns

Fix the brown for a quick win

I was just about to vote for David Brown, but then I thought I'd like the Massey to come back to life and run that in your 'parade'. I don't mind ( read that, care ) how much work it takes because my hands will not be the ones getting all full of oil, dirt etc. ( or as old Arthur used to say, " shit, muck and bullets ). Yes, g'on run the Massey.

All David brown axles are like that there’s no such thing as good ones 😂 I’ve fixed two axles always been the centre pin got someone to line bore through, oversized bushes made and a new pin lathed up seen some steep prices for DB axles that are ‘good’

Get the brown up and running then you can flip it on and use the money to do the massey and do some youtube videos on it , Win Win.

Probably is, but with how long it’s been left like that I’m guessing that the housings will be work now, a complete axle would be a much quicker fix

Option 1, you'll never get the MF done in time You know on those chargers there's a total flat setting because what it's trying to do is charge the battery
