Dear Beth hello from California, I was looking through KZread and I came across your channel. I was watching your Canelé Recipe on your channel title Entertaining with Beth and all of the sudden I said OMG this is the lady that first introduce me to the Canele recipe 5 or 6 years ago, I remembered you, the way your described the canele recipe, it has always stayed with me. Your energy, charm, enthusiasm and your voice full of life capture me. Your passion for what you do reminded me of me. It's from you that I first came across this Canele recipe. I had never heard of this pastry no even from my French pastry teacher. The following day I couldn’t wait to tell him about this lady on KZread talking about this fascinating dessert . Dear Beth don't ever change your style of talking ,about your passion for what you do your cooking and life. The day I was watching your channel I was not having such a good day and I had to get ready for class the following day. Your motivation through your words got me up and ready to go into class with a tranquil mind to study. Your voice full of life was healing....Thank you

I have dreamed of spending a summer in a European town all of my life. Although I have travelled extensively through Europe, at 60 I’m still hoping to make that dream come true. Feel the same way. It gives my kids a glimpse of what I mean when I say we Europeans know how to live. It starts with not eating from styrofoam plates using plastic utensils. The norm when you go to a restaurant where I live in the States.

I couldn’t agree more. I, originally, as a hobby, started French cooking lessons in 1981 (yeah, I was only 2 years old.). I couldn’t master crepes then, not much better now. Miss Beth, yep, let’s keep our day jobs! Always a delight to watch you.

Ble' Noir is exactly buckwheat, it is also used in a lot of the traditional dishes from the region im coming from (Italian Alps), it grows well in cold climates and it was one of the major cultivations in the old times.

It was awesome he invited you back to try making one on a griddle like he does! He makes it look so easy lol All those dishes looked delicious!

I cannot get enough of this series. You always find such great things to share!

As opposed to dragging out my 3 fancier cameras I use for shooting the food demos ha! But I'll welcome my fancy microphone back! Sorry the audio with this eps was so bad! I do miss France. Used to go the south all the time when we lived in the UK, but home in Australia now, and I have to say I prefer living here. I used to say, the best thing about living in England was its proximity to Europe!

I love this videos. Makes me miss Brittany, where my partner is from. Thank you for explaining the difference between crêpes and galletes, which most people don't know. Did you know that in Quimper they call both savoury and sweet crêpes ? It's a whole contention point between Finisterre and the rest of Brittany.

There is a Creperie in Far North Queensland that has both sweet and savoury crepes. They are very popular and you have to get there early if you want a table. Not exactly France but hey, when you're in the tropics the French adapt. So nice along your beach, looks a beautiful spot.

I so enjoyed this vlog and went straight to your recipe for buckwheat galette, then headed to my nearest Trader Joe's for ingredients and just finished eating our lunch of a Galette...forgot the salad though. :0( Thanks so much for making all your recipes seem so doable and so tasty. The filming is top notch and your personality is so warm, kind and fun! I wish you a wonderful week and stay at your beautiful home there in France! I am envious as we lived for almost 4 years in Grenoble in the country side of Herbeys....so miss those trocantes as well. Have really enjoyed this summer series of your time in your new home!!
