I think this model and laco's fleiger pro need to lose the butterfly clasps and get on the fly adjustment. I dont think people value those seemless bracelets as much as the convenience of having adjustment.

I own the SAR Lume, Flieger Chronograph and SAR Titan. This 'tool watches' are really almost indestructible. I'm a General Contractor and had hold like champs. Highly recommend this brand.

For me, the 29er and SAR have more character. This is an flight-expedition style, but GH doesn't classify as tool watch. Can be an everyday watch.

The Teutonia II world timer is a beautiful watch and one of favorites. They don't produce it anymore though. 😔😔

How much do these watches cost to service in usa? Anyone knows? I've shied away from some German brands in the past due to the lack of service options / hassle it would be to get it serviced right eventually.

I have the Muhle SAR rescue timer, the quality is amazing and the watch is very accurate. Love the Muhle watches.

That's one handsome watch. The only thing I would change is the bland font of the Arabic numerals. I would also make them a bit thicker, like the hour markers.

Quite like the watch. The main cons for me are the 40mm size and the butterfly clasp. I'd prefer something like 38mm and a double lock clasp. The size isn't that big of a deal but I really don't like butterfly clasps.

It’s the name of the city. Nomos, Mühle, A.Lange etc. are completely different companies - just, all based in Glashutte in Germany.

You got the same origin part spot on. Glashütte is basically Germany's Geneva. It's just like how you would see "Geneve" on a Patek Philippe, a Vacheron Constantin, or a Baume & Mercier watch, but the brands from Glashütte incorporated their city of origin into their branding.

It's not the most exciting watch, yes. But it doesn't want to be. It's a typical German toolwatch design.

It's expensive for a basic German flieger. Both Laco and Stowa (who were two of the originals) can do you a much better deal

But it's also a higher end watch. Their whole range is above the average of what Laco and Stowa is doing. Of course this depends on the model but as a German who owned all of the brands you mentioned I can definitely say that for sure. Nothing against Laco and Stowa of course - both brands I really like as well. Mühle is much more comparable to Tutima which resides in Glashütte as well. Both brands produce solid tool as well as dive-style watches (amongst others).

Another dial ruined by stamping a date hole.

Don’t forget Tutima. Sloooow down. Can barely keep up.

Where's the issue? Much more higher end brands use Sellita-based movements as well. Can't hear the calibre complaints anymore... The quality of a watch is not only defined by the movement used. And not only that there's nothing wrong with an ETA / Sellita movement at all, they do incorporate their own regulation systems as stated in the video. Btw. all of the major brands used ETA movements not even 10 years ago. Omega, Breitling, IWC, ... just to name a few. No one was complaining back then. So, please... get lost with superficial complaints like that.

IWC

This brand gives you a cut price version of IWC, but unlike a homage brand or a cheap copy they are very very good. they have history they have heritage that is pretty much the same as IWC and the quality of everything is not really very far behind IWC who are a wildly overpriced brand. This is one of the idiosyncrasies of watches. It’s not like they are making a rip-off Rolex this watch is pretty much 80% as good as the IWC equivalent. It’s very nice. It will last a long time they have modified the movements to a very high-quality on the movements this is probably as good as Breitling have been.

That case is unbelievably unimaginative. I love German design but this just looks lazy

With that bracelet, this gives off strong IWC Mark XX ripoff vibes. For this price I’d rather have a Stowa, which has actual heritage in this category

Not to disrespect their engineering skills and history, but apart from the beautiful bracelet this watch is very boring and is far more expensive than a Damasko or Sinn equivalent. Some of their other watches like the SAR are awesome, but for me, this watch does not spark my interest.
