A Valiant Effort To Be Original Makydo Review
This is the second watch I have reviewed from this brand and they follow a similar theme. A compressor style diver with a difference!

WHY I OFTEN DON'T MENTION OTHER BRANDS IN MY VIDEOS.
You may have noticed that I often don't mention the original brands that watches I am reviewing pay homage to. This is very intentional and not meant to offend you or the original brands. I lost my first channel in October 2020 which I had spent 9 months growing and invested a significant amount of money in simply because I had mentioned the original brands in some of my videos. There are people who try to use KZreads lack of understanding when it comes to the difference between homage watches and fake watches to attack other channels and their owners and sadly I fell foul of this in 2020. This channel was also attacked recently and KZread deleted content simply because I had said 'subby homage' and 'Rolex homage' in two videos despite the watches in the videos being perfectly legal homage watches. Please understand that I can not afford to risk my channel so I will no longer be mentioning other brands when reviewing homage watches.

With those bolt like crowns on either side, it reminds me of Frankenstein's monster.

Now that you mention it….100% agree
After buying my first integrated bracelet watch with a butterfly clasp in the November sale, i decided to make it my last with those features.
It worked beautifully as a sports watch, but I don’t think it works very well as a “dive watch.” Thanks for showing it to us.
just got my miltado salmon/champagne dial. its a super affordable quartz version of the baltic mini rotor small seconds. also just got he WatchDives version of the seamaster 300 they make the best homage with the white dial version. ceramic dial insert and everything.

thanks. we just send e-mail to gary, we are happy to send free watches to him to check and review if he is interested in.
it needs a smiley face dial to go with the crown ears
How to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory: offer a decent looking, trendy and nicely made watch with an extra strap at a very reasonable price, but make it hard to get a good fit with a crown that will dig in regardless of the wrist you wear it on. Sigh... Excellent arm hair trim btw. Very neat 😊.
Would have liked to see the at least attempt to rotate the bezel crown on the wrist . Looks nice .
Tip of the second hand has the enamel scraped off…great quality control….let alone the indices which are roughly finished…
Not sure how I feel about everyone jumping on this integrated bracelet/PRX style. Also as a dive watch, this is one of the more illegible compressor-style ones as to the minute track.
I like the look and the beefy black strap. Crown on the left is a no go. Thanks Gary!!
It is just a AP-D1milano with simmetrical crowns
It's a good-ish looking watch but the second crown makes me twitch a bit, it's not right. Personally not my type of watch but still decent.
Another great presentation and your pros and cons on this time piece are aligned with truth yes a nice looking watch with some variables that in my opinion I would give it a 7 out of 10 points .
Like the watch, but not the crowns on both sides. And the bezel would be a scratch magnet, but it looks super well made and sleek
This is not the first time I've seen the crown configuration. It just makes me think of frankensteins monster. I'm not a fan personally.
The previous 9015 Miyota movement looks better but this one is also not bad & they try to be original in design. Great video & presentation ❤
Agree with you, spot on, imo great review.
When they say that watches are all about personal opinion ,beauty in the eye of the beholder etc., This takes that to the limit . I could see why some would like it but unfortunately it's not for me. Is it a dive watch er sort of ,Is it a sports/casual watch again sort of It's neither one nor the other
Only way i could be less interested in this watch is if they added a 24 hour sub dial.
The case and bracelet seem to be based on the Pagani Design PD1707. Interesting watch, and I'd argue that if you want to take it diving, you'd put it on the rubber.
Interesting watch. But why is bracelet fit still an afterthought for so many watch companies?
Looks like Frankenstein in a tuxedo
The problem with this brand is they are basing almost all of their designs around the same case.

I like the rubber bracelet integration. But the crowns are a definite, no.
I clicked on the link that you posted and it took me to their website. However I could not find a watch on their site with 2 crowns. You never mentioned the name of the model or I missed it.
IWC Aquatimer also have 2 crown, 1 on each side also.

Not a traditional crown on the left of the Aquatimer, not screwed down.
Display caseback with no decoration nh35? It makes it thicker.. sorry but they went bananas on this one 🤷🏻
I like this watch but the left side crown which should make it look symmetrical just make it off putting. Even without the half links it should fit some people.
Does anybody change the time when it’s on the wrist? I don’t think I’ve ever done that?
Is that blue glue residue on the crown or is it a design element? Can’t tell 😅
It’s a wannabe diver. More like a “desk diver” to me!😳😲😜😂🤣
Probably the most illegible "diver" I've ever seen, especially the timing bezel, which doesn't look to be really legible in full light let alone in darkness.
Not bad looking besides the dueling crowns
I saw this on Simon's channel a few weeks ago. When I saw it, my first thoughts were of that "inspired by ants" watch that all the KZreadrs were pushing a few years ago with crowns at 3 and 9. (I think that Kickstarter was ultimately unsuccessful.) I thought that watch looked dumb, too. So much for symmetry. Any other strengths or failings of the watch are irrelevant; I would never buy the watch because of the crowns on both sides of the watch.
Yep no those ear-looking crowns are no from me. Have my one compressor (Horizon Pilgrim) and can't imagine all the fuss to set the bezel if it were on the left. Also, not too fond of the fixed bezel looking too much like a Nautilus, it's too iconic. Fan of the butterfly clasp though.
I quite like it.
It's a nice dress watch, a bit of a Nautilus look about it. 200m water resistance with a glass back? As a diver myself I can honestly say that this is not a dive watch. It has no lume on the inner bezel numerals and the lume on the hands looks worse than some other dress watches I own .. However !!!....I do like the design, it's a quite refined looking case except for the integrated bit, an attractive dial, the crown placements are interesting, and as you should never change the time or wind a watch with it on your wrist as you can easily bend the stem, it's not an issue taking it off. The killer for me though, is the integrated bracelet. That trend has had its day, it's not all the rage anymore, and to use a restrictive bracelet design, and to add insult to injury, a butterfly clasp, is a mistake. If this had a standard bracelet and a nice engraved caseback I'd be interested. Who in heavens name wants to see a boring undecorated movement? I bought an SRPD51 Seiko 5 at a great price a couple of years ago, and first thing I did was change the caseback for a nice one I found on Ali Express! Another excellent review Gary.
You should take any watch off your wrist to operate the crown safely.
Massive AP offshore vibes without being a blatant copy, I approve!
The crowns either look like ears or the bolts in Frankenstein's neck. It looks decent build quality, but beyond that It's nothing I haven't seen done so many times before. I'm sorry but this one is a pass for me.
A closer look = Macro lens has to pay its keep 😂
the watch is interesting, those two crowns remind me of the robots from the sci-fi series of the 50s 🤔

Compressor sports watch??
This Crown configuration is both, weird looking and not very functional. That said, you don't see too many divers with integrated bracelets. The only other one I know of is the Oris Aquis.
Justified comments Gary, this ones just not doing it for me, big No to internal rotating bezels period, I really don't like them on any watch, an integrated bracelet for the life of a watch does not appeal to me or butterfly clasps, apart from that it's ok.
Can[t get how seriously you talk about their “design elements" which are APs and Piaget’s (and some others’) design elements mixed.
No half links means no purchase. Integrated bracelet. Makes absolutely no sense.
ok mmm looks interesting. But not one for me.
Herman Munster? Lovely looking watch otherwise.
Diver's bezel anyone ?
It looks goofy. Also, quite impractical
It’s got ears…lol🤣
Make do Says it all 😂😂
But is a copy of citizen series 8.

What s shame. Good looking watch till you put one crown at 9 and one at 3. Doesn't look right and doesn't make sense.
Knock off of Rolex Oyster Quartz, even the band.
Swing and a miss!
It is to expensive for Chinese watches.
Looks like the watch is held together by a nut and bolt running thru it - Pass.
Junk

This just looks like a hodgepodge of different elements from different designs the bracket looks like a pro and the bezel looks like it could be AP, patek or even peugoet or GP and albeit they are different functions there are five watches that have a crown on either side think the AP diver, or the omega speed master professional
