The moral of Beauty and the Beast is that we should value inward characteristics such as kindness over other superficial qualities, such as wit and appearance.

Fun Fact: Belle’s blue and white dress and hairstyle were inspired by Judy Garland as Dorothy in “The Wizard of Oz”. Also, when the Beast gets his mane curled, it pays a homage to the scene where the Cowardly Lion gets a perm before he and his friends go to see the Wizard.

This was my favorite movie as a child, and I still adore it. It bothers me that so many people refer to it as "a movie about Stockholm Syndrome", even if it has been pointed out multiple times and ways that it is not the case. The love story between Belle and Beast is one of my favorites by Disney, and I love how the live action deepens that and characters' backstories even more. BATB has wonderful songs, great and unique story, and very real life-kind of villain. I love how Lumiere and Cogsworth act like an old married couple for the whole movie. :D I still haven't gotten over the fact that Angela passed away, she was such an amazing actress. You getting emotional and singing along with "Tale As Old As Time" is such a mood. Thank you so much for reacting to this.

Here's the cool thing: if you look into the historical context of this story, it actually explains almost everything. Example: she's the quirky girl that doesn't fit in because she wasn't born there. She still remembers Paris. Which they sort of touched on in the remake.

Also fun interestibg fact: In the original version of the ending, Gaston had survived the fall off the castle, and was supposed to be shown getting attacked and eaten by the wo;ves. Disney thought that would be too drk, and they ended up recycling that idea, and used it in The Lion King. Hence Scar's death scene now makes a bit more sense. Also I think you should watch both of the animated sequels before the re kae that came out in 2017.

YEEEESSSS!!!!! FINALLY!!!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE BEAUTY AND THE BEAST!!!!!!!! It is my ALL-TIME FAVORITE Disney movie!!!!!! I've watched it countless times throughout my ENTIRE LIFE that I recite the prologue BY HEART!!!!!!! I would memorize everything; from the prologue to every line and a peculiar scene of the movie just carefully listening to the score of the movie. It might seem AND sound crazy, but it's true. Belle is my #1 favorite Disney princess and I've alway felt so connected to her. She and the Beast are my top favorite Disney couple because Beast matures and changes into a better person for Belle. Even when he gave her the castle library as token of his affections, I thought it was the kindest, most beautiful, most romantic thing he has done. I just love everything about it: The prologue, the whole storyline, the characters and their designs, Belle's personality and open mind, the music... EVERYTHING!!!!! I love how Disney reimagined and told this classic fairytale in their style. And in my opinion, I believe the Disney version of this classic fairytale teaches us a very valid yet valuable life lesson. 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹

There's also a theory about how a bunch of Disney Princess movies are related and this is actually related to some non Royal movies because this is just before the French run is once when you know the French royals would be killed so the story is safely to England and the great great granddaughter or whatever is Jane from Tarzan because she has a tea set that matches the one that Mrs Potts and Chip turned into and there's some other connections theorized with like Frozen and there's a some stuff that apparently happened like before and after like relating to other Disney Princess movies but that's I think the clearest connection is they fled to England because of that tea set because Jane had it in Tarzan and she's a brit

This is really one of the best disney movies. period. I would really love it if you do the remake reaction. I loved it more than the lion king remake. but also, did you know there was another beauty and beast Christmas movie, cody? it's called Beauty and the Beast enchanted Christmas, which is one of my favorite Christmas movies ever.

I’m planning on seeing Beauty and the Beast in theaters, the original version, I wasn’t able to see it because I was born in 98, and this came out in 91! I’m case you were wondering Disney is re releasing 8 of their movies back to theaters, they already did Pirates of the Caribbean Curse of the Black Pearl, Toy Story (last week to this week) Frozen starts this Friday to August 17, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST STARTS 18!!!!! I’m planning on seeing it the August 21!!!!

Thank you so much for this reaction! I totally agree that I could see you as Lefou Cody. I got a chance to play the role of Maurice back when I was a sophomore. Yes I highly recommend you react to the 2017 live action remake. There’s a lot more details, a lot of character development, and the new songs go perfectly with the film. Also if you didn’t know in the original script, there’s a deleted song called Human Again; it takes place between Something There and Beauty and the Beast. During the musical number the servants work together to clean up the castle and prepare for dinner as Belle and the Beast read her favorite book. It’s revealed the Beast had forgotten how to read and how it could bring comfort and joy. As Belle teaches him to read, she asks him to accompany her for another dinner. If you wanted to see more Angela Lansbury I must also recommend Nanny McPhee which also costars Emma Thompson. #BestDisneyLoveStory #RIPAngelaLangsbury 👩🏽👹🕯🕰🫖☕️🌹🥀💛💙❤️

The funny thing is if you guesstimate Beast’s age when he was turned, he was a little kid, which makes the curse a little cruel in context, especially considering it effected all the personnel too. Ah well, still a great movie.

I would recommend watching the remake of Beauty and the Beast. It’s my favorite Disney remake, and even if you don’t like it I feel like you have to appreciate all the hard work the creators had to put in to make a movie about a monster and living furniture into a live action movie. Plus it adds a little more backstory to the Beast and even mentions Belle’s mother.

I loved the remake. the Broadway musical added a new song for the beast and the live action one added a different song for the beast which I think I like better. Definitely give it a watch.

12:30: The real question is how did Phillippe know where to find Maurice. He never approached the castle until Belle brought them there. Maybe they followed the trail left by Maurice and the wolves.

I think what’s really crazy is the rose wilts and the transformation becomes permanent on his 21st birthday and I think they said it’s been about 10 years since they’ve been cursed, so that means the beast was 11 years old-

If you pause Gaston’s fall right before it shifts to the below shot which shows the river in the canyon you can see a skulls in his eyes. Apparently that was added to erase any suspicions people had that he could’ve somehow survived the fall.

In the live action film there a some things explained as to why nobody noticed the castle. Couple of plotholes are filled in. Really liked that about the live action. This is my favorite disney movie, the message, the music. I have a glass cabinet with a lot of beauty and the beast stuff❤️🤭🥰🥰

I've always considered Phillipe to be the best Disney horse alongside Maximus from Tangles. No chance in hell of beating Khan, of course, but he's easily in my top 5. Cogsworth is my favorite Disney sidekick simply because the late David Ogden Stiers voices him. He played a character on M.A.S.H., a show my parents watched!
