A trip to CAPE ANGELA Ras Ben Sakka, TUNISIA - The Northernmost point of Africa رأس أنجلة

Hi everyone! This is episode ten of my Tunisia series in which I go north - very north! I take a louage to Cape Angela (French: Cap Angela; Arabic: رأس أنجلة) which is the northernmost point not just in Tunisia, but on the African continent. Since 2014, the tip of Cape Angela, Ras ben Sakka has had the title of the northernmost tip of Africa.
The vlog starts with me and my louage driver driving towards Cape Angela on a dirt road with several potholes filled with rain. After negotiating the elements of nature, we finally get to our destination where I visit two monuments marking the northernmost point. I also marvel at the beautiful nature, the grazing sheep, the lighthouse and the northernmost beach of Africa where I dip my fingers in the water.
I also talk about what this trip means for me, especially given that I am from South Africa, the southernmost country of Africa. The southernmost point of Africa, Cape Agulhas, is not too far from where I grew up for a part of my life. In fact, the vlog also contains footage of the drive from Bizerte to Cape Angela and I mention just how similar the South and the North of Africa look like in many respects.
In general, this was a special and emotional vlog, and I close the vlog with an emotional plea.
I hope you enjoy this video! If you haven't done so, please hit the LIKE and SUBSCRIBE buttons as this really helps my channel to grow and allows me to make more videos such as these for you to watch!

Thank you Sheila, this was a very special experience for me. In terms of travel memories, right up there. I was a bit worried in the beginning when I took the louage as I could not communicate at all with him, but I think he took a liking to me. Not many drivers are willing to drive as far as he did (I've read that many actually drop you off at the Cape Angela road sign and wait for you there whilst you walk there and back) but he was an absolute star for taking me to the tip. And yes, I did think we are going to get stuck here when he started the louage again and attempted to get through!
