Legend Awesome Thank you. We are there to support our team, to experience the beautiful game and atmosphere, to interact with other cultures, to show other cultures that Americans are overall good people. We understand that during the game and with drinking involved we're going to say and do some crazy shit. But the majority of us want to enjoy the game and the atmosphere and be respectful of our hosts. Yes, we might fuck around a little bit here and there, but our overall energy is positive.

This is why football/soccer is amazing

I’m a dual citizen. I was born an American citizen and later applied for my Mexican citizenship. I love both countries but when it comes to soccer I cheer for Mexico.

I never understood "dual citizenship". I believe you are either citizen of one country or the other...regardless of heritage. What if there (God forbid)...there every be a conflict or an existence of war between both countries, which would you side with or which would your allegiances be with? If you are living in the USA, why should the American citizens believe you have allegiances with the Red, White, and Blue? And don't give me Latino heritage and stuff, I grew up in New Mexico...and Hispanic citizens of New Mexico have 100% American loyalty. New Mexicans have no once of pride in "Mexico". New Mexicans are proud of their Hispanic heritage...not Mexico. Think about it, if war is ever to exist between both countries...who are your family going to serve....Mexico or USA? This, I believe...should apply to all countries.

It was a great game and Dos Santoa scored a great goal. I'm a Galaxy fan so I wasn't THAT mad, haha.

Fortunately, people can still enjoy soccer games in mexican stadiums, you can see fans from different teams walking together side by side. For sure you would never be able to do such thing if you had to play against Argentina in Buenos Aires for instance, I certainly cannot imagine Argentinian fans walking side by side with their rivals. They simply live soccer games with much more passion than we do.

3:49 i don't understand why they say that is unfair that the police took their flags and scarfs if your going to another country to see a game you should check the rules that the stadium have 😉 and you guys know that the Azteca stadium is special for us that's why they are so careful with the things they let in(like flags and stuff like that ,the flags have to be small if you want to bring one with you) mainly to avoid an accident

Of course they were respectful in Columbus, they are outnumbered and not in their country! This is nothing compared to when they threw beer and piss at us in 2013 (look at my video for Beer Wars) and they even throw stuff at our players when we score in their stadium. Grow a sack dude!

Everyone there was flicking us off. We also were treated like shit in the stadium. They confiscated all of our belts, scarves, and hats. They would not serve us beer or water--only Coke. They also called our players "PUTO" constantly. You should condemn all that first--unless you have double standards.

I have been living in the U.S for long time, I am Mexican, hope people in Mexico be nice next time you visit that place, sadly the current president is spreading hate between races .. and it's good that people don't drink at stadium because many Americans get crazy easily. And also our people, I support USA and Mexico. Viva Mexico-Go USA.

surfinbird71 Security was heightened and we couldn't leave our section (via stands or concourse) and there was simply no beer sold to our section, no beer wars this year.

Mexican here, glad you got a better experience this time. Azteca get a lot of security to check everybody of not smuggling weapons or alcohol inside. Mexican police is more tough about security due increase of violence in grandstand of stadiums to get a more familiar and friendly atmosphere for fans with childrens.
