right, but the Americans defeated the Mexicans at Chapultepec raised the American flag and took down the Mexican flag on SEP 8th 1847, while playing the Star Spangled banner, thus taking control of all of Mexico. The Mexican national anthem is a joke, it talks about being ready to fight but yet the mexicans went on to lose 90% of their battles.... Japans anthem is dope tho...and Japan is the only non european country to defeat a world empire.

Mexico’s anthem is indeed very emotional and amazing. The American National however expresses how much of a treacherous journey we went through to get to our country today. How many wars we fought and never gave up. Our beautiful soldiers fight and die for that flag. Much respect to the Mexico flag as well because it has a similar type of story.

See I was born in mexico but brought to the US when I was 4, mixed emotions here. Both anthems bring me pride, strength, and emotions. Though I was born in mexico, home is always where the spangled banner waves high.

I cry every time i sing the mexican anthem, we sing with spirit and love for who we are.

Not at all. It was very calm this year compared to when I went 4 years ago, way different, the cops had everything under control and were very well organized. Even 4 years ago when it was crazy, I never felt unsafe, yes I felt that shit I didn't necessarily want/need might happen to me (beer hitting me, getting wet with liquids, getting hit by a battery/etc) but I felt that it was happening within a controlled environment and that I was going to make it out to the bus. The American fans were not sold beer in our section during the game this year.
