I am from Nepal but I studied at Wuhan University from 2016-18. My two years in Wuhan is one of the best memories of life so far. I felt home there. Your videos made me want to go there again, which I know I will at some point of my life. We used to hang out so much at East lake as it was right next to the Uni.Wuhan taught me to be independent, grounded and gifted me with friends for life. I know I watched this video quite late, but thank you for refreshing the memories.

@Nij Jin not saying you're wrong, but I think it's much more likely that it's a system failure related to the whole youtube black out a week ago or so. I quite like the theory that it all may have started when google erased google+ which youtubers had to sign up for before, which may have created some "confusion" in the system, but then again I'm no expert so can't really say. But I think that would be more reasonable than to assume some conspiracy theory suppressing normal travel videos from China.

See, historically China has been a giant melting pot far exceeding what most ppl could imagine so that many "local" people in many places are not "local" actually if traced only several generations back. e.g. as recent as WW2, when Japan attacked Shanghai, most Shanghainese retreated to Wuhan along the Yangzi river following the then KMT govt, or escaped to places like HongKong/Canton down south or overseas. When Japan bombed Wuhan later, most people there then again migrated inland further to Chongqing and Chengdu (Sichuan province), or Yunnan Province... After the war, many of those returned yet many stayed where they were. Many then migrated to Taiwan after the Chinese civil war following the KMT govt, while some to as far south as Malaysia/Singapore. I know Wuhan from some of my extended family members, who are "originally" (by birth) from many places in the world like Shanghai, Taiwan, L.A., Northen Europe, Beijing, Wuhan, Shenzhen, HK, Chengdu, Singapore, UK as far as I'm aware. lol

Your three lovely videos have managed to showcase some beautiful sights and sounds of Wuhan. Also loads of delicious food and the friendliness of the local people. They definitely have no regrets sending you that invitation to visit the city! :D

I was surprised that you can speak a little Chinese. And it sounds quiet good as I can understand your Chinese easily. Wuhan is one of the four traditional cities with reputation as “hot oven “. The other 3 are Chongqing, Nanjing and Nanchan. Wuhan’ s local cousins are not as good as Chengdu, Yangzhou and Guangzhou.

Al Demir Actually, Chinese loves cooking and eating home-cooked meals. I also showed that part of culture in one of my Yunnan series in Lijiang (Wet Market in China). However, eating out is also a huge part of the culture. Eating together is considered to be the gesture of hospitality and friendship. Oftentimes people have a business meeting over lunch time with a large group of people. On this video, we were taken to restaurants most times since it was a special event organized by tourism board of Wuhan. The group consisted of over 20 people in total so it is easier to go to restaurants and made reservations 😁

Sorry Poop Nation, the title of this video was decided during editing process which is considered to be after production video, while researching about Wuhan.
