It's all coming together! Hannah, I have a Samsung front load washer, too. I highly recommend checking the filter and water dump each month. It should be on the lower front of the machine. You have to unplug the cap of the hose, drain out the water (which will smell like mildew), then pop out the plastic filter and clean it out. The longer you wait, the more the washer will reek. I also leave the door open after using the washer for the last time, to air dry the interior. 💚

HI Hannah! Just wanted to give you a tip for mudding (the corners are the absolute worst!) Sanding the walls can get really messy with all the dust so my dad and I found that wet sanding works so much better! (thanks to Tiktok) Obviously you can use a piece of sand paper or a scraper to get any big chunks off the wall. For the wet sanding, get a big yellow sponge and dip it into a bucket of water and make it damp. (You don't want it too wet or else it will really soak the mud) Then you lightly run it over the mudded areas. If there are any divots in the wall you can add more pressure to make it even with the rest of the mud. Having a wet sponge is so much better then using sand paper and dust getting everywhere!

To be able to cook a Turkey in an actual oven for Easter was sublime! Ironically I just got a paint sprayer to do my kitchen TOMORROW , but the primer is too thick and I'm going over wood paneling that requires primer, so...a little sad I have to finish rolling out the base coat, but super excited for the white semi-gloss via sprayer...Thanks for the motivation to get it done!!! Good job, it all is amazing 👏👏👏👏❤️

Wow, the painting of the room looks soooooo satisfying! A few years back I had to paint 3 rooms in my house on my own, not huge, but all quite substantial. The time you save with using a sprayer seems to be so worth the cost of renting a device like that. Just love how your place is coming together. In regards to some of your commentors. I work in cyber, but use to be a mechanic. I still do a few DIY jobs, but it's not my job and I am not proficient (or really even decent) by any means. Someone always talks me in to a "quick simple DIY" , then after the struggles and job is done tells me how I could have done it differently or better. I wouldn't worry about those people too much. You take on projects like a champ and follow through, while doing so many other things. You're winning, ignore the people that are too afraid to do their own thing and want to hold you back.

A bigger knife than the 6” one (10-12”) for the second layer to fan out the mud so that you’ll be able to blend the seams better. 2-3 coats of mud are normal. Don’t try to get it all in one pass. Also, sanding blocks/sponges will be way easier to use. Always so impressed with you and inspired by you. From one woman professional DIYer to the next.
