Lyrics:
The lyrics of this song are our adaptation of a medieval ballad called "The three ravens" in the English version and "The twa corbies" in the Scottish version.
(The Three Ravens)
There were three ravens sat on a tree
they were as black as they might be.
One of them said to his mate
"where shall we our breakfast take?"
And down, and down a yonder green field
there lies a knight slain under his shield.
His hounds they lie down at his feet
so well they can their master keep
his hawkes they fly so eagerly
there's no fowle dare him come night
down there come a fallow Doe
as great with yong as she might go
she lift up his bloody head
and kiss his wounds that were so red
she got him up upon her back
and carried him to earthen lake
she buried him before the prime
she was dead herself ere even song time
God send every gentleman
such hawkes, such hounds, and such a Leman
(The Twa Corbies)
As I was walking all alone
I heard two corbies making a mane
the one unto the other say
"where shall we go and dine today?"
There behind you beyond an old sad mount
I know there lies a newly slain knight
no one knows that he lies there
but his hawk his dog and his pretty wife
his dog is out hunting, gone
his hawk to brijg a wild bird home
his wife found another mate
so we'll have our greatest feast
you'll sit upon his white neck bone
and I'll pick out his lovely blue eye
with a tuft of his golden hair
we'll thatch out nest when it gets bare
there are many that mourn for him
but none will know where he has gone
over his white bones after (we) make them bare
the wind will blow forevermore
and more...

Hi Айрен, sorry for this late reply! About the song, I slightly adapted the lyrics of a medieval ballad that has two versions, the English (the first one I sing) and the Scottish (the second one, after 2:25). Same story, but really different ending, meaning, atmosphere; you can find the english version lyrics searching for "the three ravens" and the scottish with "the twa corbies". We'll upload our adaptation and other lyrics on Bandcamp soon! :)

Hello! Your English is not very bad. It's much better than my Russian. I just wanted to let you know the only correction i could suggest as a native speaker is "where may i find the lyrics?" Explainer of the changes - "where" without the H has a different meaning; because "were" is a different word to "where" - we don't need to use "is" in that sentence, although unfortunately i can't explain the reason why - we would say "lyrics" for the written or verbal words (text) of a song That said, i could totally still understand what you meant, which means your English is not bad. I hope though this explainer might help you feel more confident if you wanted to ask the same question again for other songs. :) I only wish i knew some Cyrillic! Cheers from Australia :)

You guys are awesome to take on music from another culture and do it so well, with soul. Would you ever consider ancient Italian / mediterranean instruments? You guys are spoiled for choice of godly sounds. Especially of the roman era and byzantine. Bowed lira so simple like the nordic jouhikko / tagelharpa.

Hi Edd! The language is the same, since I adapted the ancient lyrics, but some words still belong to their origins; the first version is from the english version of the ballad, "the three ravens", the second version from the scottish version, "the twa corbies". Both beautiful ballads but with an atmosphere and end really different; I recommend you to read the original lyrics! :)
