I was caned, hit, had blackboard erasers thrown at me, had my hair pulled, and one teacher held me over a bannister for walking on the wrong side of the stairs. School was a nightmare for me and many others. They are not the best days of our lives for a lot of us.

Ive been beaten up by a teacher, punched in the face by a teacher, allsorts. They used to get away with all that sort of thing. Had teachers make me take my trousers and pants down before they would cane me or give me the slipper. Old headmaster laid me over his office chair, trousers and pants round his ankles then he sat shouting at me red faced from the other side of his table threatening kme with the cane so i would cry more with the fear.

This is why theres safeguarid g laws and things like ofsted which are supposed to make sure schools are safe whether they do is a different story

I've been pinned up against a wall restrained on the floor and locked in class rooms and had my arms up my back when I was in school many years ago, it's even on records that it all happened but nothing was done about it, it was a horrible time in my life

We need these issues to be discussed more and known..and make a better training to identify such traumas available to all

I was sexually abused at 3.1/2 I told my mother a man had put his wee wee in me. She was horrified and didn’t believe me and told be not to say that because i was still in the garden. But he had taken me out of the garden then put me back and she hadn’t missed me. I never told anyone till after she died and I always wonted to tell her he was a neighbours teenage son 😱I’ve never forgotten it. I tried to tell my daughter but she didn’t want to listen 😢

I was made to do PE in my pants and T-shirt in secondary school in 2002! As a 13/14 year old boy highly shaming

Bully teachers will pray on what they see as the weak. They will leave alone any pupil they think would react with violence. Or they will back off when they get a reaction and won't try bullying again.

Used to stick a book down before going to head teachers room in primary school

Do what? I was in school in the 1960's early 1970. Sure the cane was a possibility. I don't recall anyone ever being caned. Although I did get called to front of the class for a slap in face by a female teacher at age 7, and I did get a bit of a black eye from a blackboard eraser thrown at my desk that bounced up at me, which I genuinely believe was intended to catch my attention not hit me. None of that upset me so much, No, by far my biggest fear at school was all the other boys. Bullying and violence were a constant threat. It's took years to get over that.

I got caned.....same old faces

When I was about 6 I was thrown around the principals office from one corner to the other like a rag doll for something I did not do.

Autisum and ADHD were not recognised in 70s and early 80s and being diffrent was a target on your back.

One headmistress forced vomited down a child,s throat.

We are still suffering abuse. Woke people are attacking those not like them physically and verbally singly and in groups. Media is showing videos. This happens privately by those not accepting reality and throwing tantrums as adults. Big hug all...

It was quite normal for teachers to be caned by irate students at school.

Our maths teacher made two boys, who refused to shut up, stand in front of the class and touch their toes while he came up behind them and kicked them full pelt in the backsides. The two boys were extremely humiliated. What the teacher didn't know was that one of the boys was the son of the boss of GCHQ. The teacher's corpse was found floating in a sewer the next day. Oh no sorry, I'm getting confused with a totally different story. The teacher lost his job.

Ritualised punishment in controlled circumstances is not abuse.

Granted I was at a naughty boys school and it was the 80s but I told a teacher where to go then two of the teachers got me a headlock put my head against an old skool radiator and the teacher I told where to go booted me in the head fractured my skull in two places I was then taken to hospital after the teacher told them I fell down the stairs

They used to lock me in cupboard.
