I think the ghost purpose is to push you to go home and reconcile/rekindle with your mother, seeing it seems its REALLY hard for you to be dying by her. She kinda waits you to get up and run again to go home, and in the end give you an injury to wake up both you and your mother. or maybe im just reading too much into it lol

There has to be some connection between the ghost/monster making a squeaky door sound and the references to her mum opening the door and coming home at the end.

I love how the ghost just stands there waiting for you to get up lol. Probably giggling to herself like "oooohhh this gurl clumsy"

i interpreted the story more like, (tw suicide) she attempted suicide and her way of "getting home" while unconscious was a spirit realm journey back to her body and her mom, spurred on by the spirit of the girl who didn't make it home. whether from jealousy, or anguish. it's sad that the game is so janky because the meaning is quite poetic

Chilla's games are always interesting, but in this one, I have no idea why they thought it would be a good idea to put a loud sound effect of a door creaking when your panicking. That got annoying fast and I was only watching you play the game for under an hour.

The bump-and-fall mechanic is pretty bad too imho. It sounds cool and pretty realistic on paper, but it's just plain disruptive during actual gameplay. Accidentally grazed a pole? Oops, on the ground you go. At least the ghosts are polite enough to wait lmfaoo

At first i actually got startled with the sound, now im mid way in the video and it's just... ah

The true horror is that MC doesn’t wash her hands before interacting with the entity. And then the entity grabs her like honey, she didn’t wash her hands!!!

The voice acting sounds like normal people speaking Japanese rather than anime characters lol. Very refreshing.

The heck, how many games did Chilla's Art churned out exactly? This is like the fourth this year alone!

I appreciate that Manly waits for the actors to finish their voice lines before reading them to his audience. It's just one of the subtle ways he cares. ❤

I just love how the sound of the tall girl was literally just a creaking door

Found their first person games scarier, the animation of the protag when she slips and gets up makes me laugh more than actually scare me

God I love chilla's art games though personally I preferred the other types of games that had a different style. I am not sure of this is new or old but the other style had something to it that made it feel a lot more unique and where you could just tell who made it and get excited for a new story. But with that said! Anything made by them is bound to be interesting.

yeah i agree. this just doesn't feel as strong overall. one of the good aspects of a lot of the games is the slow pacing and mysterious atmosphere. this one just has the player running (or tripping) most of the time which ends up feeling boring pretty fast

Even tho this game is kinda janky I’m glad they’re trying out something new. I always like when people branch out and try different things. Hope they’ll continue to improve and experiment at different stuff.

This is why you don't talk to strange crying people in deserted subway stations. Next level stranger danger.

I dont know how I feel about this one. Its even more janky than the other older games and that panic noise... holy moly it is hard to bear. Quite interesting that they use third person btw. I think its their first game using this perspective, right?

The panic causing you to trip over seem rather redundant, or rather it is there to trick you into getting panic yourself. Whenever you are chased and fall on your butt, the ghost just stop in it track and politely wait for you to get back up. After awhile, it honestly lost it spookiness and just feel kind of like a chore that impede your progress.

Yesterday I was falling asleep watching this video, and just when I was on the verge of sleeping, the monster made its first appearance. That awful door creaking sound effect was both startling and hilarious lol

Manly: “starts explaining how going home stories work and what they mean in eastern culture” Manly 2 seconds after: chinchiiiiilla!!!!!!!!

With what I know of myself, there's a few too many similarities between this story and my life to be coincidence. This was like a sudden punch in the face that's waken me up. I'm glad I decided to watch this, and I'm grateful you played the game. It's all just so strange how it goes. Life, I mean.

9:05 I like the fact that manly always wrote down any number or name in paper if he saw it in some game that he played.It show how serious he is in gaming even if the game stupidly hard or weird XD.

I love that you "sprint" at the same time as getting up after falling.

You know when it goes dark and you find a working flashlight within 6 feet of you, you're now a horror game protag. Tall people are pretty scary though. Many spooks!

The height of the ghost kinda brought to mind Slenderman, which made me appreciate the unique ways that the East and West handle supernatural entities. Slenderman is mostly an unexplained obstacle of pure malice, but this ghost has bits of humanity and purpose in the end.

"If you're fast, then whatever's chasing you is also really fast" If I got legs like that, I would also be really fast. No wonder why this subway's dangerous

Loved the delivery on 5:38, like it's so routine by now that Manly is just expecting it to happen and is slightly annoyed. Like stepping into a dirty puddle after you just cleaned your shoes. Let that be an object lesson to ignore all crying women and children you might see out and about, they just want to drag you into the shadow realm. Don't talk to them, don't make eye contact with them, don't shake their hands. Don't even acknowledge that you hear or see them, just walk on by. Highschool girl alone crying in the bathroom? Ghost. Lost kid on the streets separated from their parents bawling their eyes out? Ghost. Your mom in a hospital bed weeping softly? You guessed it: Ghost. Your fiance/fiancee tearing up after you popped the ring out and proposed? Well... need I say more?

I actually liked this style of game. I generally like janky but bizarre and playable games. But I'm glad the entire story was able to be figured out at the end rather than it being confusing as hell. Also the credit music was nice.

Everytime it went flying backwards I couldn't help but laugh my ass off 😂
