Classic mistake when making a reflector beam in a 3d simulation. You can't just make the whole thing one projected texture, it needs to be two - one shorter-ranged for the wider spill circle, and a farther-reaching one for the throwy spot. If you make a flashlight with just one projection, might as well make it a homogenous one like from a TIR optic.

I read a book on Teke Teke at a elementary school library.(the book's title was "Thriller Restaurant" btw) It scared shit out of me as a child. I'm 25 now, and I remember in those days Japan, many schoolchildren were obsessed with horror stories. not only children, adults (especially women) were believing in various occult stuff. there were tons of horror shows aired on tv. almost everyday. but at some point as I grew up, I found it out that there're only couple of shows for a year in these days. probably the broadcast organization or the government banned it for some reason. that's kinda sad...I feel my life is ruined

I think it's because you can easily consume horror media outside of television now. No doubt horror is much more popular now than it ever was simply due to the amount of money horror movies rake in. You were raised in a different era where you actually had to move about to experience horror but it was also spread through word of mouth. Now all you have to do is hop on your laptop and watch some scary videos or read some horror manga or manwha and the air of "realism" surrounding horror stories where people were actually afraid is debunked a lot more. Long story short "The government" isn't banning scary shows, the producers of those shows see that ratings are down and just shut down production, simple as that.

Meh, their last few games have been garbage. They used to make great stuff, now it's all "run from the monster and find keys to open doors so that you can find other keys to open other doors". Hopefully this one will be better, like their old stuff, but I'm not holding my breath. Edit: Yup, this one is trash too. That floating laser-vision perma-stiff-posed Teke Teke is one of the lamest monsters I've ever seen. It started off promising, yet still devolved into "find key to unlock door/box to grab item to find another key and unlock another box/door". Tack the extremely lame Teke Teke on top of it and I'm respectfully bowing out of all future Chillah's Art games.

It's cool to see Teke Teke being used in a horror game, I feel like that's an underused ghost in gaming. The game itself, I can appreciate that it's the developer's first game and there are some nice scares in this. Hopefully the next game has less bugs, they do tend to take away from some of the horror.

No. It's the game dev who came up with that idea. Teke Teke is, like most japanese urban legends a "free roaming" spirit which usually haunts certain areas. Teke Teke's apperance is, according to lore, not triggered by anything. "Common elements of the legend include that "Teke Teke" is the vengeful ghost or spirit (also known as an onryō) of a young woman or schoolgirl who was executed by being sliced in half. Missing her lower extremities, she is said to walk on her hands or her elbows, making a scratching or "Teke Teke"-like sound as she moves. If an individual encounters Teke Teke at night, she will chase them and cut their body in half (often with a scythe), mimicking her own death. One version of the story concerns a young woman known as Kashima Reiko, who is said to have died when her legs were severed from her body by a train after she fell on the tracks. According to legend, her legless spirit haunts bathroom stalls, asking occupants if they know where her legs are. If a questioned individual replies with an answer that Kashima does not find acceptable, she will rip or cut their legs off. There's some text that are present in Japanese, but not English 16:31 The last paragraph in Japanese - "This is the reason that many people believe the ghost 'Teke Teke' is afraid of cats. Apparently the TekeTeke finds and kills you within three(Ithink--) days after knowing about her/their/it's backstory, I was told this small fun fact right after reading about the TekeTeke's backstory by the website I was reading it from.

Imagine being able to make a Teke-Teke halloween costume. I'm thinking of laying down on a skateboard or something similar? But how to hide legs? Maybe a reflective material to make it weird? Or semitransparent material to make the legs super ghosty?

Have you ever seen that one amputee making Halloween costumes that follow a one-legged gimmick? Like the Pixar lamp & stuff like that. A teke teke costume would be a really smart idea if someone happened to be a double amputee

Manly once played The Open House simulator, which is pretty hilarious knowing that it was used in so much horror games :P

_The teke teke techs up_ The atmosphere was great. But the game alternated between being hilarious and jump-scary. The laser-visioned upper body spook took away the "horror" as did the use of the Unity House. The crawling was much creepier (no pun intended), And having to unseal the doors to "help" the spirit didn't make sense - who sealed it & why didn't they help to begin with? The story needs some work. Cat > onryo

The writing in the community's improved enough that there aren't really any funny-bad creepypastas anymore, just kinda boring. Gone are the days of ROM hacks being the work of the Illuminati and jumping out the window then with luck landing on the ground.

playing this game with twitch chat seems to be the best way to enjoy this boring game. The lack of instructions and the amount of time spent looking for a specific item would make me drop this in no time. at least some parts of it were genuinely scary

I hear people stopped that by watching the video from the ring at the same time, so the ghosts ended up fighting each other to death.

Similar house layout as the survey so I expected that skinny hand to pop out and got a bigger scare when I saw the mask 👁👄👁
