When you turned the rotor by hand, you could hear a clicking sound (2:30). This is because one of the bars on the commutator has been risen very slightly due to centrifugal force overtime. This causes the brushes to jump and then you get sparks. Another cause could be a shorted interwinding on armature. But I suspect the raised bar, that clicking sound is a give away. It happens in older motors and the rotor needs to be replaced.

Sand the commutator and that’ll work perfectly

The bearings have probably have damaged the shaft making it not fit the specific tolerances for new bearings

The Panasonic motors fitted to the older versions of these machines were pretty decent.

I think it's the new brushes as they aren't bedded in to the armature hence the spark and Bad running. Can you fix the original brushes and run it for a while?

Hmm shorted armature windings maybe. Do you know any one with a armature Growler Tester for Testing Motor Armature Coils? Or just show it the dustbin lol :-D

@Mr_D2_1004N This is true because when he sells them he saves up for other parts for broken things and vaccums so he is right @patermonster7843

21:37 the worst motor ever. TBH, if this motor burns then you'll be buying one from the internet or on ebay
