Factory Sealed Numatic Henry From 2006 Meets a 2021 Henry Pet Pro

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this video I unbox a brand new 1200 watt Numatic Henry manufactured in 2006 and compare it with a Henry Pet Pro manufactured in 2021 to see if the quality really has gone downhill.

I've had an old style Henry for about 10 years, bought second hand, I use it for cleaning up mess at work I'm a plasterer, so plenty of dusty mess to clean up, I've never used a bag, I just clean the filter regularly and the only thing I've had to replace is the rocker on/ off switch which was a simple job. Brilliant machines built like tanks.

I've unpacked a year newer Hetty before, and it still is our main vacuum, and it's only needed a new plug and bags. It was when they were a new "limited-edition" model, and it did come with the older style manual. And yes that floor head is still available from Numatic as it's supplied (albeit with a parking bracket) with the Nuvac branded machines. As for the quality going down, I guess the price of materials has gone up quite a bit since 2006 and the price of a henry has stayed roughly the same and as such I think it's more a case of Numatic wanting to keep to a sensible price point rather than it all being about profits.

My theory as to why the autosave PCB is so prone to failure is because components are mounted very closely on the same side as the air exiting the motor, And over time conductive graphite dust from the brushes wearing down accumulates on the PCB and creates shorts between components.

I love these, wish I could get a hetty or henry with the power head, here in Australia we don't have much choices 😢 I prefer a cylinder with a power head over an air driven turbo head but the only ones we have here are models such as sauber si-200 not available from godfreys any more it seems. sauber pro pets bagged (hoover action pets clone) sauber pro pets bagless hoover action pets bagged or bagless Hoover allergy bagged or bagless Hoover regal bagged or bagless Sebo airbelt k3 premium Bissell smart clean bagless... We get the miele c3 but only the turbo head version not the power head version which sucks because I would of got the miele if it was cheap enough, the sebo looks fantastic but is around $1249.00 AU which is not in my budget. So the only choices for affordability is the new Sauber's not including the si-200 , all the Hoover's listed or the bissell and I think I wanna go back to a bagged vacuum after owning 3 dysons dc39 & 2x dc54 I'm sick of getting a cloud of dust in my face whilst emtying and having to touch the dirt and dust whilst washing of filters ( not including dc54) and cyclone packs as I regularly serviced them once a year properly dismantling the whole cyclones. One thing that disappoints me is that everyone I've had has worn out the handle to wand fitting, which no longer clicks firm together, they become sloppy and leak air, and the bristles on the turbo head wear out super fast especially the carbon ones the nylon ones are weak as with no strength to them which results in poor agitation of carpet fibres. What would you recommend Roger for a power head vacuum cleaner, we have a similar market to the UK just certain models within brands we don't get really. Hope your having a great day always enjoy your videos. Best regards Miss Peta

You will need a better floor tool tho as this is made specifically for DIY but is powerful good for the car and is also wet and dry this is the updated version of the ttb350vac which was what I had I was not disappointed and loved it Henry attachments fit perfectly what I would say is for dry use make sure u use the dry filter vice versa only because using the wet filter for dry use causes dust to get to the motor which decreases the life of the motor but I had one and they are around 39 quid not bad at all

This particular model was discontinued in late 2008 but you can look on ebay for one used or even if your lucky a brand new or one in really good condition and you can buy the Henry 160 from most stores and the Henry Pet Pro from John Lewis

It all boils down to the suction, and it shows when you vacuum a filthy carpet. The new Henry's definitely are no way near as good as the older ones with the power boosting switch, and we have the EU to thank for that.

People running the E U who have never designed or made a vacuum cleaner in their lives telling vacuum cleaner designers and manufacturers how to design and make vacuum cleaners and no one in industry or government does anything about it, even in a 'post Brexit' environment. The reality of the situation says more than any confirmation or hollow denials ever will.

Because they still sell to the EU and internationally. From a product rationalisation point of view, it's simpler to fit all variants with the same motor.. Given that the old motor had less suction than the new on "Lo" setting, I wonder how many people use "Hi" power much of the time. I guess it's always good to have the option.. 🙅‍♂
