The mother of pearl disc with the small circle on one side is a mother of pearl button that has lost it's shank. Nice find with the frozen Charlotte.

What a great find! I didn't connect the name frozen Charlotte, only new them as penny dolls. Used to be put in Christmas puddings. Fascinating what you find when mudlarking. I do like these videos.

The pipe stems are cool to incorporate into a bracelet with some fancy beads. I have one that came from an antique/craft store that has two pieces of pipe stem and some fancy beads.

I'm slowly getting a collection of glass beads found along the Thames and when I have enough I'm hoping to make something just like that 😊👍

Beads are my favorite find, so many uses. They're a great keepsake when you repurpose them. There's an old bottle dump on a friend's property and I find a lot of cool glass out there. I'm old and disabled but it's still a pretty good way to spend time outdoors.

A nice beach to detect on. Some of the pottery pieces were attractive, especially the one dated 1862. Glad to see you again, and see you both on the next. Cheers Em & Stu! ❤❤😅😊🇬🇧👍👍🇺🇸

could you do mularking by the side of the river wensum in Norwich?

  • @ExploringWithEmAndStu

I'm not really sure Ross, we've not looked properly ourselves but I'm not really aware of many parts of the Wensum that have a foreshore you can access in the same way as its mainly just a deep river although I'd be quite sure some of the area that side of Norwich was used for dumping rubbish along it but alot of it is now Country parks etc. Might be worth taking a walk around the area though..

We're still quite new to the mudlarking stuff too.. we've just come back from travelling all the way down to Kent from Norfolk and often travel down to the Thames Estuary to do abit of decent mudlarking because we don't know anywhere closer which seem ridiculous considering nearly every town and village in the country would have had a rubbish dump back in the Victorian times, its just knowing where they are.. its taken us literally days of researching the Internet and watching other people's videos for clues as to where they are coz no one will tell you! It's not an easy hobby like many think but definitely rewarding when you find something exciting! Thanks for your comment 😁
