@@yourmum69_420 it's self-governing state and technically speaking it's under rule of the British crown but of course Canada and Australia is under the rule of the crown so that doesn't really make it not a country. What's special about the Isle of Man is while Canada and Australia are mostly just their own places and they just kind of have to pay Royal taxes, the Isle of Man is special. Is his Royal Crown dependency the people there are technically British citizens and the minister tells the crown and then the crown tells the island what to do and that makes it different from other British colonies or countries technically still ruled over by the crown. The crown can't tell Canada to do something but it can tell the Isle of Man with the ministers help. But this never happens so it's mostly self-governing but because of the crown dependency it's not classified as a part of Britain. Here's another example Britain is Scotland Wales England and Northern Ireland but once again Canada Australia parts of Africa a few different islands and etc are not apart of that list because they are in service to the crown but they aren't in Britain the Isle of Man is kind of halfway between in Britain and being technically a part of service to the crown.

Taiwan is a recognized country though, those other places are seen as only territories or autonomous zones,( even if some countries that have to ties to china don't do open business with Taiwan in Public in fear of Chinese anger).

Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom. But "Great Britain" is only England, Wales, and Scotland. So yeah, Northern Ireland is still infact part of the island that is Ireland :/
