I love Disgaea so much that I don't know if I want to get back in to it. It's so much fun, but so much time investment that you can easily drown away other games, I'll have to wait until I've played everything else, then I'll get back to this for the endless content :)

Btw I got back into it and I can't stop playing. Tried the Disgaea 2 demo for PC and I'm on a roll

People tend to overestimate amount of grind in normal playthrough in early disgaea games Just make like 3-5 units and play with them and the main story party - and for most of the game you'll be fine without grind, only if a bit underleveled. But nothing good positioning can't fix. And for postgame - just farm for like 10-20 minutes with "stronger enemies" bills, unlock grind cave (you'll know what it is when you see it) and this cave could quickly boost you to Baal levels

Not gonna lie, I really want to look into that Prinny game on psp 😂

Soul nomad deserves a serious remake, not just porting it to pc

I nutted when I heard Iwatodai Dorm Seriously tho coming from a Disgaea vet, I never thought about how shit the D1 graphics are. I still think it's better than D1 Complete as the D5 graphics just don't work well with the atmosphere of D1. Also, I'd say that Disgaea 2 looks MUCH better than Disgaea 1 and is on the same system so I'll give the team props for that

@@HoodlieRPG Yeah that's fax. Disgaea D2 specifically made the experience much more noob friendly. I'll even admit that going to past Disgaea/Nippon Ichi games is difficult do to the sheer amount of grinding. Nowdays, there's multiple things to do inbetween grinding which makes the modern games much more bearable

@@HoodlieRPG I will also say tho that Labyrinth of Refrain, also made by Nippon Ichi is extremely underrated by fans. People really need to play it. The story is so much stronger compared to modern Disgaea

Pretty sad lately they've been alienating there own audience lately (i.e disgaea 6 isn't...the best. And I thought the one with Mao was bad, and 5 was...ok. but 6? It feels like a glorified phone game..it's so easy!)
